I learned a lesson the hard way about not having a backup trigger. During the last one-day match, my trigger went down between the zero range and me shooting the first stage. Fortunately, I was able to borrow a trigger to swap in so I could shoot the match.

I saw that first hand my friend. But we all know our good friend Larry is there to get us back up and running again!

Very interesting. From your observations at PRS matches, what do most competitors use, curved or flat faced triggers? Cheers 🍻 🍻

Hi conservativesniperhunter7439! It really does depend on personal preference, so I see both in use. I've come to like the curved shoe because it conforms to my finger better, for me anyway. Thanks for watching my friend!

@@The4GunGuy Thanks man. I have always had curved triggers on my rifles but recently bought my first flat faced Trigger Tech Special that quite like after firing a couple of hundred rounds. Cheers 🍻 🍻

Sounds like this is referring to gas guns as far as trigger reset.

Hi Bubblehead! Yeah, for the most part it's the gas gun reset, since with a bolt gun, you have to physically/manually run the bolt to reset the trigger. Thanks for watching yet another one my friend!

For my 1000yd benchrest match rifles I have single stage super tuned jewell triggers in them though not made anymore. So I would buy bix'n for them now as I build them. In my PRS bix'n 2 stage. I like 2 stage from since i was a kid shooting an anshutz in 28' indoor off hand rimfire.

Hi HPA! Yeah, it's too bad about Jewell, they made some great triggers. I love that I can, once a year, take my Bix's totally apart and thoroughly clean them instead of the old "lighter fluid" cleaning with sealed triggers. Thanks for watching my friend!

Jewell is out of business.....no more new triggers and no parts are available.
