And.... a 5000watt inverter run to island to run coffee maker and satellite box. I’ve watched your other solar/inverter videos. Totally cool!!!

I have the stock MRAP aluminum rims and I balanced them alone without any tire with stick on weights. Worked well with the Perelli P22s
@free_lance_living3 жыл бұрын
I have stock aluminum mrap wheels to. Did you use the Hutchison bead lock bands inside the tires to pinch the bead of the tire up against the wheel so it holds air? Was told I have to do that or have the wheel lip machined down to fit the bead of a 335/80r20 since mrap wheels are made for a 395/85r20 that has a taller bead.
@jackryan43133 жыл бұрын
@@free_lance_living yes, the wheels need to be remachined or you need bead locks. DBL Design does this to all of the wheels they do so beadlocks aren't needed. Even without them, the wheels and tires perform very very well

Thanks for sharing The Good Bad and Ugly 👍 I am waiting on my IBSP permit and am looking into a VIAIR compressor. I have an F-250 with 265/75R16 E tires at 85psi and was wondering if you still use the same VIAIR? I want to deflate to 15psi and air up to 70 and think an onboard setup to get it done in a reasonable amount of time is the only way.
@NJRenewableEnergy Жыл бұрын
Actually, I try not to use the VIAIR system. It’s a fantastic back up, but takes a long time going to the filling station works vastly better particularly if you get two people one on each side filling at the same time. Still not a bad idea to have it.

You should down load the Conti specs which tells you what speeds you should not go over with these tires. The Conti spec will also tell you what psi to set the tires are based on for the weight you’re carrying per axle for your safety and life of the tire. FYI I have 20k on my tires and I have been cross country twice
@jackryan43133 жыл бұрын
Idk if their specs can be trusted or not, but I know for a fact that the MPT81 335/80R20 continentals can safely travel above 100mph. I don't remember at what load you'd enter into the dangerous zone with those speeds, but they can do 100mph.

what's the point of hauling around the spare tire? I noticed on the PT 1 video, you still had it mounted. that would seem like a no brainer, chuck the spare it is literally dead weight. you're not able to use it, and you can't put a 41" tire up there so idk, to me it seemed like a candidate for weight reduction. nice setup! :)
