It's always interesting to see how the timbre, emphasis and rhythm of lyrics is different between western and eastern made music, even when sung in the same language. Even between English and French music or poems you can hear this difference. It does take some getting used to to hear that emphasis on different parts of the words though, so I guess that's one of the reasons why those songs might not be as popular outside of their original region.
