施太，我好應同你的想法，好多藍領工作搵錢確實比白領高，職業無分貴賤不是只在於賺錢多少，而是在於人與人之間的尊重。我自己也有三個小朋友，每個小朋友都有自己性格專長強項及弱點，就算將來他的工作是倒垃圾工人，我也不覺得有問題，我覺得最重要教小朋友要用心做好事情，負責任及有解決問題的能力，他求求其其做事情，我也求求其其煮飯。施生提出同性戀問題及大麻問題，我都有同我大仔討論這些問題，我問他將來你想不想你自己的小朋友是同性戀者，但同性戀不可以有自己的小朋友，用結果引領小朋友去作選擇，就可以有自己的小朋友，用結果引領小朋友去作選擇，就算最終他選擇同性戀路，只要他的選擇經心思熟慮及他個人及對方開心快樂，個人覺得問題不大。大麻跟飲酒問題差不多，重點是食了/飲了，不要影響他人，不可去揸車傷及無辜人及性命，份量多少會對身體做成傷害。

Once you get used to the Canadian society again, you would not have the issue when applying for government documents. I actually found it pretty clear for what they require in general. Of course, there're times that we are out of luck. What I like about Canada is also the respect. People in general don't look at you differently because you dress well or not. Of course when you are at the job or in a different position, it could be different. However, ordinary people don't care if you drive a Tesla or not; don't care if you live in a 5000 sq ft vs 600 sq ft; don't care if you wear Burberry coat vs a Walmart coat. This though, is also a weakness among Canadians. Canadians do not have enough passion to thrive for better.

Second this, Government documents and procedures are annoyingly slow anywhere I think In regards to respect. What’s nice about Canada is the general population understands respect goes both ways. I don’t care if you own a Tesla and you’re the CEO of whatever company, if you can’t treat a person such as your waitress with respect, you’re garbage 🗑

自我中七畢業自己申請study permit，至後來申請移民，都是我自己填表申請，無試過要搞兩次。其實佢政府網站上對文件的要求寫得好清楚，比較複雜的通常會另外有張checklist，地址証明&銀行月結單之類的証明，一向都係要求要交近3個月內的，當然最好就係本月的。小心睇清楚，打印出來再highlights重點。

我贊成施生！好多香港移民每每投訴香港政府如何不濟！其實香港政府各個部門，各種對市民的服務的清晰度比加拿大政府高得多，而且加拿大政府部門工作人員(或官員）權力比香港大得多。正如施生講，申請文件要正本或幅本，官員有權力決定，所以有聽過不同人有不同的申請經驗！另外話加拿大生活慢？！我只知道你在多倫多駕車，紅燈轉綠燈，你起步慢啲。或者紅燈右轉猶疑一吓，你估有咩後果？

Canada tax is pretty high when compared to HK, almost 1/3 being deducted from your salary for CPP, EI, etc..., tax rate is even more when you earn more. That's why people do not prefer to work more, eg. clinic family doctors. When you get use to the slow pace (relax mode) here, you'll figure out how to deal with it. Generally, Canadian is nice and respect each other.

One thing in hate HK youtuber talk about Canada is how cheap the real estate. It is not cheap, in last 20 years it rose 300% whereas salary go up 48% only. On the other hand, house price rose only 50% between 1980 to 2000 which is more aligned with the rate of salary increase. Please DON'T compare the our (Canada) real estate with HK.

Wait until you use your health card let say god forbids you check into emergency care.....prepare to wait 6 hours....in the states the wait time in ER is less than 15 min... the states have the best health care system but it’s just nobody could afford it...honestly for the fact of such low taxation in Hk...Hk runs a pretty good infrastructure.....

同意，when you have a choice to pay for 12 specialists for the best answer before treatment it always ends up to be better. The issue then is when they can't agree on anything and you still have to pay for their group consult. Also fyi, for repatriates, there is a requirement that you have been residing in the province for 90 days before you can apply for a health card. Province of Ontario for instance: www.ontario.ca/page/apply-ohip-and-get-health-card And yes COVID made the waiting worse.
