This is a general problem, sometimes. I experienced this with a lot of bugs. Because they often get catapulted into your direction when burning and dying and then you burn by yourself. Maybe this is history now. Because the developers *finally* increased the time until you start to burn.

I was wondering before so I tested it and for others: Armed resupply pod when all supply packs have been collected by helldivers, the pod will stay upright despite being closed if the turret still has ammo to shoot. No need to worry about a lost oppitunity.

The anti tank emplacement is going to be a universal stratagem on every squads team. So much versatility and range with it, open maps will almost certainly see use constantly. And you can shoot down enemy warp and drop ships with it too. Probably my favorite stratagem.

For stealth they are very good, aim for the legs of the voteless and they will bleed out, and you can stun lock the overseers and kill them in stealth right near a group of enemies

Yeah idk what he was doing in the video but I never struggle that much poking zombies with the spear, 1-2 jabs and they usually die and it can hit multiple enemies with each attack. Im even running down the flyers(Overseer) to stab their feet with it though that is a bit silly and risky since a single burst from them can kill you. Its a good secondary weapon, in most situations its a lot better than a pistol unless you are fighting the bots.

I've tested that the electro spear is better against bots & bugs, whereas the baton is better against the voteless hordes as it attacks faster, and in a horizontal sweep, making it better at horde control Whereas the spear is better against more deadly but less numerous targets like berserkers, any terminid other than hunters unless if you're a god and can nab them mid-air : as the spear has a longer range and thus is better at dealing with everything except voteless, including the staff illuminate warriors Also really sucks that peak physique only works with the melee button, which is incredibly inconvenient for me personally

ballistic shield + spear does just fine against voteless swarms ime. multiple diff 10 dives with the combo and the shield lets me ignore ranged enemies and focus on those in my face, which is easy enough when you stun everything you hit. just dont get cornered

Good review. Regarding switching places in the vehicles, it's important that the animation is placed for every single switch type and NOT "teleport"" between places. One of the best thing of Helldivers2 is that you must execute every single action for the sake of immersion and I would like this not to be lost in vehicles.

I had an insane match the other night where someone actually went out of their way to kill my flame sentry. I put it down on a defense mission near the dropzone so it could cause some immediate havoc and I watched this guy literally jump over a wall and fire his JAR at it like his life depended on it. We were winning handily so I didn't bother to kick him but it was just truly insane behavior. The flame sentry does seem genuinely really good, I hope collective trolling doesn't ruin it.

The way it's been for me is as follows: Lowest to highest top speed: 1, 2, D Lowest to highest climbing ability: D, 2, 1 Lower speed means better control but that can vary depending on environment and driving habits (letting off the gas in short bursts while braking helps in turning in the city) Oh, and you can drift by hitting the E-brake instead of the regular one but I have yet to find a good spot to make great use out of that technique.

@@nickyukvn Ah good, I'm on controller too. Here's a list of what I have found: You can hit L1 or R1 to shift gears on the car. The current gear you are in appears on the center bottom of the screen L3 honks the horn, useful to help get teammates attention. Square to E-brake and initiate a drift. I know you can swap seats but I can't figure out the button to do that. Hope this helps!

for the record, you can usually get enough credits from farming in a couple hours. If you're really lucky, you could get it in one, but you would need to get a ton of 100 credit drops which are very rare. Personally, it took me about 6 hours of farming on diff 2 automaton worlds. I recommend dropping into either a sandy dune planet, or a mountainous forest planet, because they don't have any negative world effects and you can drop at high elevations to spot radar beacons

@@tdoyr Mountainous worlds are NOT recommended for farming SCs. The best biomes for super credits are moons, fire tornado worlds, arid rock worlds and straight up desert planets. You do want to play on difficulty 1 or 2 and you can also organize with other people farming. Another tip is to leave the game after scouring the map instead of finishing the mission as it's much faster. (Also: use jump pack and light armor).

They should make it so right click allows you to block melee attacks, draining your stamina...and then a right click hold + left click makes you push enemies and holding left click charges a heavy attack and there's a new special button that allows you to use new special abilities for your melee weapon and allow us to put 2 perks 2 blessings on the melee weapons + 3 curios and a 30 pt. skill tree Just sayin' 😂

The AT replacement is so good on defend missions too! Only issue with it is its slow turn speed and you’re pretty exposed. You either have to play really far out, which is probably intended cuz of the zoom, or have some turrets back to defend you

The armor passives should stay as they are with all weapons. And I wish there was a option to turn the buggy with the mouse so you can do small adjustments with turning and not spinning out all the time. A spare tire mechanic would be nice too because I'm getting a tire popped constantly.

The 88 is insane. My squad got called on taking on a base. We dropped the 88 and a bubble. It killed two dogs, every dropship, hulks, the fabs and the splash kills the smaller enemies as well. Didn't have to walk into the base at all.

I like the flame emplacement specifically for the Illuminant because there are SO many directions the zombies can come from that the risk the gun emplacements killing you is high, but the limited range means you can be a half a block away and the thing isn’t sniping you down the street.

The stun lance deals 110 damage and stuns/staggers enemies on hit, with a little extra range The stun baton deals 50 damage at around 20% faster attack rate but also has the same stun and seems to sweep a bit In classic arrowhead fashion, the peak physique 100% damage buff currently only works if you use the MELEE BUTTON while holding the weapons. Left clicking is registered as “firing a weapon”, despite the fact that the weapon being fired is a melee weapon

I’ve had a ton of fun with the melee weapons, pairing the directional shield can dissipate the energy weapons used by the illuminate whilst being able to destroy with the lance or the baton. I feel like the crowd control is good enough you just need a supply of stims but if you are mobile enough you can find a ton of packs scattered around.

the baton is outright better for non stealth applications, higher attack speed and capable of hitting numerous targets. I love melee but I want it to be better, stun weapons can stay as crowd control options if they increase stun and maybe give the spear a chance to arc it's stun to nearby enemies or add a short ranged arc attack as an Alt fire mode. but they must add options that improve lethality, a Liberty sabre with a potent vibrating blade capable of slicing through the toughest armour, or maybe make a support slot melee that does obscene damage and attaches to your backpack enhancing its effects (jetpack cooldown, drone attack rate, shield durability/recharge etc.)

you can switch seats with c, but only from driver seat to the front passenger seat they probably won't let you move straight from driver to gunner, given there's no room in the model to allow that motion, the melee weapons aren't strong enough for being a primary, but they're a good stealth weapon or a ammo-less way to take out the odd straggler, the at gun is my new favorite stratagem, using it against the bots is great, if you can get a overlooking position on a large outpost you can absolutely devastate it, I really want to get 4 guys with the at turret and just devastate a super bot post like an artillery battalion

Great video, not too long, got the basic info across! As for the melee weapons, I see limited usefulness but useful for a specific need. If you have a build that dont really need a sidearm for a important need, the melee weapon is nice to keep melee units away if you get pushed too close. I dont see it being very useful against the toasters, but against bugs and voteless, useful enough, for the moments when a mag of a sidearm wont get them off you, swing a few times, get some space and get some distance, I wouldnt use it to specifically try and get kills though, but to get breathing room.

Stun lance and Stun baton like their names informs you can stun ennemies, baton excell against the voteless ennemies and the lance is amazing against chargers / bugs. 5 to 7 poke on a charger legs will kill it, an amazing weapon to bring on bugs front while still having abaility to destroy bug holes. After several hours of testing hitting a Charger's leg will stun lock him after a few pokes and kill it with a few more, in a tight spot can rly save you and your team. You can poke it and run away sending a precision strike next to it as well, do not try to kill an acid charger with the lance though it will explode and kill you 8/10 times, but a few poke to stop it and make sure a stratagem hit it works perfectly.

The directional shield is fantastic with the crossbow and stun baton combo, pair with heavy armor and you'll have great time! A good set of starts to put with it is a Gatling/mg sentry, stalwart, Gatling barrage, and a 500; sub the 500 or Gatling for commando or E.A.T. if you don't have a squad mates with anti-harvester weapons

Im absolutely loving the illuminate. Ive missed the old days, but i never remembered it feeling like this. The combo of fighting off the horde while taking on ranged fire is engaging and frankly terrifying. Ive had to pop the difficulty down from how i normally play, but i look forward to learning how to fight them better.

I think they should add a shield only slot. Having a shield take up a spot doesn’t make sense to me. I would just take the backpack.

My first game with the flamethrower turret was on the lunch 8 rockets mission against the illuminate and it melted two harvesters at once, I bring it with me on every mission and it's soooo goood. Can't wait to unlock the anti-tank

Feel like people are sleeping on the eruptor, it can 1-2 shot overseers on direct hit, plus it absolutely destroys horders of zombies

I tried it today, but I just couldn't justify it. The Senator can 1-2 shot Overseers to the head, and 2 shot the Watchers as well. You can also fire it much faster than the Eruptor, which is helpful for when you're getting swarmed by Voteless. And the Eruptor can't kill harvesters. Incendiary Breaker did much better for me as a primary, Senator secondary, with a dedicated anti-tank Support weapon, either Recoiless or Quasar

For the flame sentry, I think it's pretty good on bugs, up until you get a charger of course. I just think flamers need a fear mechanic in general. So that enemies will try to avoid flame sentries in general (besides Bile Titans of course), while also allowing flamers to actually be used in close range, ironically contradicting their intention

4:54 You're using it wrong, you have to aim for the legs. Even without an armor buff for melee damage, you can kill the voteless with two hits.

People say this will be the new malevlon creek, but as a creek vet myself i personally think they are easier to fight, heck we have so many new toys to fight them with its become trivial with a good team. . . Back in the creek we had 2 sticks and a rock for the squad, and we had to share the rock and cherish it

Using the AT emplacement, i found out that it's a little buggy when used up. Sometimes, it just stays out (maybe just design), but if you get back into it, your diver bugs like the early HMG emplacement bug when it's used up. Also, the emplacement model has your diver use a tiny telescope, but when you ADS, it just zooms in without the scoped FOV, which isn't necessarily bad at all honestly, its actually better without the scoped FOV

The melee build against illuminate, all you have to do is hit the zombie legs and they go down. One hit down and control the crowd.

in my experience the stun baton works much better while wearing heavy armor that has the enhanced stims trait, you can pretty reliably 1v20 a big group of weaker enemies while taking minimal damage. then if you stim, you will actually feel invincible. you can stand in the middle of an entire patrol and tank all of their aggro while beating them back. heavy armor does have a mobility debuff, so you may be tempted to use a jump pack to compensate. however the stim trait lets you abuse the prolonged, infinite sprint, so it's even better to just take a supply pack so you can stim more. build flex allows a ammo hungry primary and support weapon, like adjudicator + anti material rifle/railgun. all weaker enemies can be taken out with the baton, saving ammo. allowing you to resupply your team with your spare supply.

The anti tank emplacement (ATE) can also put automaton command bunkers in a world of hurt and eventually completely destroy them. Another use of the ATE on open terrain is artillery. Chose the highest spot for it and let your squad ping the biggest targests. Its a turkey shoot!

The flame sentry has been great. I've been treating it as a combo with something like the rocket sentry, which has tons of ammo and dps potential but gets overrun and refuses to fire at close range targets. Putting a flame sentry slightly off to the side of it keeps it alive and firing much longer.

I have found that the melee weapons are actually quite good. You just need to attack the voteless feet to turn them into crawlers, or their head to kill them, just dont hit the body cause that will take forever. Vs the overseers they actually are quite good, and i have been able to take out squads of 4-5 of them at once without peak physique thanks to the stunlock. With peak physique you can five shot charger butts, which is incredible. Thanks to AH for such a goated weapon.

The ammo perk boost applys to ALL reloadable weapons, not just Primarys dispite what it says. Works on secondarys and support.

gonna just call you out on this melee weapon is meta on the Illuminate right now the ability to down the hordes without ammo is very useful and it kills faster then the dagger. Yes i do solo level 10 super helldive. You can kill the overseers and it has cleave so you can kill a bunch of the chaff at the same time. Bring it with AMR or the Autocannon to deal with the flying overseers or the walker spear can handle everything else.

I think the new armour passive will benefit anti tank builds most or other situations where your support weapon is for a more specialist use since that's when your primary does more of the crowd control, once the bug is fixed it probably won't matter so much if you're using a machine gun or stalwart or some other crowd clear like the grenade launcher as your primary ammo is under less pressure

The baton also has wide cleaving attacks. If you take the bubble generator you can slice your way through hordes of chaff. I typically use the redeemer for my secondary as its good emergency crowd control, but now I run the baton.

My experience with melee weapons (baton especially, & with predator skin with +100% melee damage) was good. You can stun all smaller enemies around you, as meat shield, then bigger enemies will kill them for you. (The enemies with staff gun, was easy to me protected from doing meat shield, but, the jetback and drones with arc zap needs to be prioriticed.) Then also you can block enemies in tight opening to not let pass you. Which was my main job as we do those flag missions. (if conditions met)

Honest review about the new warbond! A lot of stuff you said fits to what I thought about the warbond. I didn't buy it yet, because virtually all of the stuff looked pretty useless in my opinion. And only because the anti tank emplacement was the best of the warbond doesn't mean it is one of the best ones in general. You didn't say that, but I just want to mention. You are stationary in the emplacement. This is a pretty big disadvantage for it. I can one shot with other strategems nearly every enemy in the game with besser mobility and less need of a good moment or situation what you need for the AT-Emplacement. You can one shot a charger with a RAT in the head. You can one shot a charger, or a bile titan with the Orbital Railcannon. On distance you one shot a Charger with the Spear, no matter where you hit it. A Bile Titan dies with one rocket to the head. etc. The only interesting things for me in the warbond would be the Super Credits and the camo patterns. For the moment I don't remember the other stuff so well. But the most stuff isn't interesting for me. I think I'll stick with the Polar Patriots. I don't own it right now. There is this chargable plasma gun. Sounds promising. Especially because of its medium armor penetration. I still need to collect some Super Credits, so I can buy it. ^^

As of right now the *real* shield (backpack shield generator) with stun baton is actually quite good at keeping hordes of voteless down. It can take some time to kill all of them but the amount of zombies that actually becomes a threat is way, way higher (also in general with flying unit spam on illuminates you really want either shield, resupply or at least drone backpack). Also about turrets, a lot of people underrate MG turret, it's extremely low cooldown allows you to use it as distraction and you will have turret ready to deploy in start of 90% of the fights. As for flame turret, I doubt it's gonna do much to heavies (the only one it can realistically take down is charger, if and only if you throw *at least* 1 stun grenade): bile titans almost instakill turrets from roughly same range as flamethrower on the turret, harvesters beam turrets down from afar and factory striders and tanks clearly do not care. And all turrets can deal with medium enemies, so flame turret is ends up being more defensive and less friendly fire-y alternative to gatling, which I guess is good? Personaly I've not seen much use to it, and as you are well aware high difficulties are tank-fest (which is why MG is actually better there, you can throw it as distraction and either gun down enemy tank or run away). TLDR: mg is still better than flame turret on high difficulties because of low cooldown, stun baton is actually quite strong against illuminates (at least until devs throw their actual forces at us)

Stun weapons are to STUN, not kill! Stunning Voteless is almost worthless because it's far easier to kill them with a gun. The stun is very effective however on bigger targets as it disables them for quite a while so you can execute them how you see fit, or just make a clean getaway. I use it against the overseers, especially if they run up and try to staff whack me. Pull out the stun baton, whack once for a guaranteed big stun, pull out my primary, have time to reload, and execute them in the head. Very fun, very effective like this. Again, it's not for zombie clearing, it stuns. Everyone was clamoring for a melee weapon that will 1-shot things, but I'm sure those are coming later. They're certain to add beamswords or something.

The melee weapons are great against the illuminate specifically because the voteless are a massive ammo dump. having 2 guys whip out the stun lance to deal with an incoming wave of them while 2 others gun down the overseers is incredibly efficient and stops you from running out of ammo too quickly.

Stealth is very effective now, the staff can take down enemys silently and can turn the voteless into crawlies, did a lvl 10 dive without dying or even getting reinforcements called

Woo, they definitely cookedwith this warbond. The only thingI hope they might add is a 'light' and 'heavy attack for the melee waapons. For the spear, the light is the normal poke, but the heavy could act as a horde clearance, where it sweeps a wide angle. Does less damage but has more area of knockback. If melee weapons are gonna melee, they better be hella good.

A note for the shield, it does block laser weapons, also melee imo is VERY strong in team play since its an infinite stun and strips armor well. The crows control is realky good if you use the lance and kite, but it does have a learning curve

I'm enjoying the stun lance and baton! With the Viper Commando armor I can just shred the squishies with melee attacks while I can keep a good primary for taking out elites and the scouts like the Eruptor.

The stun baton is king against the squids, with peak physique and old shield you can destroy hordes of voteless and other illuminates even on dif 10. Definitely not a solo weapon, but definitely better pick than most weapons for a dedicated horde/infantry clearer.

Honestly, I hope they keep the extra ammo for the support weapons in because being able to have I believe it was three magazines or four magazines for the machine guns is so good.
