My theory, and it's just a theory, is that he got wind of what was going on and got out before the guano hit the osculation device. They asked him back because they knew he was the only one that could save it and he was willing because the bad actors are either out or heading that way. And I for one am so glad he's back, omg, he's THE storyteller of WoW.

I don't like the cinematic...that much, it was kinda of a bummer after the excellent Metzen presentation. This is clearly directed to us, the lorenerds that weight 110kg and our beard would touch our pubes if it was not for the enormous belly circumference, but you can't show this as your main selling point to people who is not into lore, it says nothing to them. I don't like how slow they speak, like if they thought we are dumb and we need to be spoken really slowly. I don't like it is again a video about some dude talking about how he feels. And I don't like how Anduin goes from edgyboy to "of course I'll help you" for no reason, unless they are hinting at Azeroth having some kind of mind control or soothing capability on Azeroth denizens. And besides all of that, I loved it. Still needs to change some things...bad setting tone is still there, they have to change how they speak on cinematics... feels like we are on the bottom part of a growing curve so I am hopeful for the future and hopeful to keep seeing good changes.

Cinematic is great ... the fact that they announced multiple expansions .... but I am still not sold on the follow through ... Metzen being back is a positive ... but again if its the same writers as in the interview I dont have that much hope .... Dragon Flight started good as well but then fell to pieces after .... so will wait and see what they do following this

I have the same feeling. Plus I think WoW was always a bad vessel to deliver the story. The quest system is subpar to any good RPG. Another problem is that they have too many characters and storylines compared to how much they can deliver.

So the World Soul is essentially the Morther Crystal from FFXIV. All joking aside though I truly hope WoW players finally get a good and strong narrative. While I haven't personally been playing since BFA I really do want to see WoW do good.

When Thrall speaks about the vision, I was immediately thinking about Ogmot. The story about the sword could be so much better... 17:01 These Blizzard cinematics always repeating the previous ones in some sense, what I really like btw. It has this kind of prophetic feeling. The Lich King stance with the sword (I think Anduin did it in the BfA fight as well) was an obvious one but I've found a more subtle one as well: how Thrall kneels down in the sand just reminds me of the Warcraft 3 Scourge ending cinematic when Archimonde does the same.

I hope accolon doesn’t delete me for this LOL. But anduin is Arthas’ son. He is acting out Arthas’ story but redeeming him by doing so. The son redeeming the father is an archetype. The war within will be anduin dealing with finding out the truth. He can go light or dark. All the symbolic mirroring of anduin and arthas isn’t just for fun.

For me it’s cautious optimism. They still need to deliver on the presented goals and without the “two steps forward, one step back, and one step to the side into the meat grinder” style Blizzard became known for. But the warband philosophy and delves and such provides some hope.

All I can say I'm so glad the team seems to be learning from their competitors and something for me that feels more like WoW. I've played casually since since Burning Crusade with the last few expansions completely falling flat adn me having little to nothing to do afterwards. Account wide reputations and overworld content that can give end game gear sounds incredible. I'm definitely going to be jumping back in for this and hopefuly its something that can bring back warcraft.

That was the look of a man who has seen way too much and he's got a heavy dose of PTSD from it. The "I trust you" from Thrall, who he's always looked up to brought to him a trust he didn't and couldn't find within himself, a life-line to maybe becoming less haunted, although never again whole. Yeah, I've seen that, my brother who was a Marine saw some serious shit and has it. I'm wondering now about Turalyon and Genn Greymane. Can Genn handle a lion with his roar and can Turalyon give up that throne he's been keeping warm and how is THAT all going to play out?

@UltimateGamerCC True, and I think that's where his disconnect lies, in the dependence on the light to all else. He's spent his life trying to live up to what he thinks is his father's expectations, that he become a good king to succeed his father. A boy's admiration for the dad type of thing. And that pushed the light, remembering that scene at the gates of Orgrimmar when he throws down the sword to pull the light to bring back his dying army. He has, basically, avoided even trying to deal with the shadow side in the quest to be good enough. And when he wasn't, in his own eyes, good enough, that broke the whole thing. I think this expansion will see him either grow into that balance or die, and I can't imagine the second one. And the war that would result with people vying to gain the Wrynn throne.

Accolonn said that Azeroth is the only actual Titan. And the titans we’ve always known are actually constructs. That to me sounds spot on accurate. The Last Titan title hints at that along with all the Titan controversy going on now. Guess we’ll find out during the final title of the saga.

They should do what? Milk more money? Sub is cheapest 140$ and now normal start for expansion is 90$. You only get delayed start cheaper. The whole saga is 3 expansions in few years, which will mean 1 year expansion with 1 month prepatch between each. Meaning less free patch content for each shorter expansion. You pay a lot for less content as current track record for good expansions is very bad. Pay more and get less quantity and quality, wohoo🎉🎉🎉

It is not the biggest by any means. It is just a marketing trick: they announce 3 things, but in reality it will be like a one thing, but devided into 3 parts. TWW already has less content announced than DF. No new class, no new specs, now new races (just a reskin of dwarves). The whole Heroic talents thing looks like a glyph system from WotLC in terms of its scope. Warband is just a fancy word for QoL changes. Delves are glorified scenarios from MoP. There are literally nothing truly new, except art. Art is very good, as always.

1. When I first saw the cinematic, with the title, I thought thy were talking about Anduin. Looking at the "orb" it appears light with shadow just on the edges, so I figured Anduin's battle within himself. 2. For me 3 expansions is not enough. It is like a series of books, the first is the introduction to the conflict, the second is the invasion of the enemy, the third would be the return of the heroes (or perhaps who we assume are the heroes) and the final is the end battle. So this saga should be at least 4 expansions. 3. Did anyone else see Xal'atath's eyes and think they look like eclipses.

I got to say, I was hyped about returning to Azeroth and the last one in the saga about returning to Northren, reminded me of the QnA with Accolonn where I posed the question of, what if we returning to the old world, but over time, the world gets a revemp and we can choose a starting point and get cool rewards and stuff and Northrend was the example I gave, so 2 out of 3 things I kinda got right, we are returning to the old world, Northrend being one of the continents, we are having a revamp over time (even if not outright word of mouth confirmed) but I was not expecting this!

i was super irritated with blizzcon. classic plus is seasonal. cata classic exists. wrath has "much more to go" but cata will be released "early 2024". Retail still seems like it's going to be super woke. In fact it seems like they made the dwarf race to cater to the woke crowd while making the arathi to cater to the original fanboys. Dragonriding everywhere, oooohh boy i cant wait. The cinematic that everyone is cumming over is just 2 dudes talking in a desert about their thoughts/feelings. cinematics used to feature this little thing, called, WAR. Every single thing that could have been great, had all these letdowns attached to it. typical blizzard. Feel like im just being pushed into the arms of private/bot servers.
