I was looking for a lesson to learn the technique and all the other videos that I saw were from guys who just show up but nothing about a quality teaching like this video! Thank you so much!

Tony, I don’t have friends to play music together with. With me & my guitar alone, I find that finger (and of course Chicken) picking very worthwhile and enjoyable. I’ve just started, motivated by this short lesson. Now I can enjoy playing alone. Thanks so much bro.

I really enjoyed it and you’re a great instructor! So many videos seem to immediately try to channel Buck Owens or Vince Gill speed but the simpler pace was much better!

Light bulb moments. I have always focused on flat picking but this may be a way to spice that up and add some snazzle to the old flatpicking sound. Super helpful Tony!

As usual, smack on target! I only wish that I had these instruction45 years ago! I have been attempting hybrid picking, on and off, for maybe 15 years. Players like Vince Gill or Brad Paisley have interested me for years. Here in Woodstock, Ill, people are starting to pick up on hybrid picking. They're finding it's not for everyone! Hybrid picking has a place in acoustic music like country or bluegrass. Unconsciously, over the years, I have dabbled with hybrid picking, occasionally tossing in my middle and ring fingers. I'm familiar with arpeggios, using all 3 fingers and a thumbpick. However, your breakdown of the process is enlightening! My goal, BTW, is to make my D-41 sound like a Telecaster with all the effects boxes out there. I'll find one! PS I have a friend who plays exclusively with a thumb pick. He's a monster of styles, both electric and acoustic. I think he's forgotten as much as I have learned in 60 years! Also, are you from Chicago?

The craziest acoustic guitar chicken-picking I've ever heard is on the tune "Chicken Lickins' Last Ride" by Adrian Legg which was actually played on one of Adrian's highly modified Ovation acoustic-electrics, with ---- among other mods ---- Scruggs/Keith banjo tuners installed on it.

I know they're controversial because they kinda seem like a guitar cult from their reviews and advertising, but I'd love to see you review a Zager ZAD900. I think they're awesome, but I don't have high end Martins and Taylors etc. sitting around for direct comparison.
