Can a Human Replace a Vacuum Pump in a Vacuum Chamber? How Low of a Pressure Can a Human Make?

In this video I replace the vacuum pump for my vacuum chamber with just my mouth and lungs in order to see how low of a pressure a human is capable of achieving with just the mouth and lungs. Since we use vacuum suction all the time in sucking liquids into straws I have been curious just how low of a pressure that I could achieve. So I measured it with my vacuum gauge. I was quite surprised by the results!

I have a question and you should try this. What would happen if you put dry ice with some water in the vacuume chamber cause normally in a sealed container it expands and eventually explodes but how would that work in a vacuume chamber if all the air is being sucked out? Would the chamber never create a suction since it's constantly trying to create pressure and then at the same time is trying to suck out the pressure or what? Could you do a video on this please.

What you need is a one way check valve to maintain the vacuum without sucking your tongue back down the tube. It will measure what you can pull without losing the volume while you are pulling, just a thought. Love your channel.

I believe you need an accumulator peice like a small cup to suck from so you can use more mouth contact for your seal and I believe it would be easier to pull vacuum from a larger peice, like you get more of the air to grab and pull if you will
