Hi i am going into 11th grade and i got accepted into a fine arts highschool for theatre/ acting. Should I go? The work is harder and i’d have less free time. I got in and it wasn’t as hard to get in as i thought. I only have 4 months of show experience including only 2 shows but i got in and idk if i’ll be able to keep up with others who have been doing this their whole life

I like the fact there’s no nonsense at the start, just straight into the knowledge 👍

Al Pacino's enthusiasm makes me feel like he's a young actor struggling to get his first role. What I meant to say is that even after all the fame and success he's so dedicated to his craft!!

⚫️ Im getting back too acting soon at a community college. I attended performing arts high school and graduated with awards and an A then went too college in NYC and Hollywood. Afterwards I got gigs here and there from stage, music videos, short films and commercials. Later on down the line I got overwhelmed with life from being homeless and auditing for jobs. Futher along I got in trouble with the law and lost my apartment in Los Angeles. I moved back home with nowhere too go in LA and now im taking medication for my behavioral health and starting back over with going too school for acting again too get my Associates Degree and further along the road my bachelor degree and masters. Wish me luck.

Thank you for this video! There's an actor's strike going on right now. Do you know if actors can still work for independent filmmakers with films on a budget less than $1000?

Do you have some advice on how to play a role which doesnt speak good and interesting? What are the most important thinks I have to watch out for?
@xSTONYTARKx7 ай бұрын
That's very generic, could you be more specific?
@aldowilliams47654 ай бұрын
If you mean what I think you mean I’d say your best bet is to find some other way to make the character interesting be it a physical mannerism or quality that the audience can latch onto. Johnny depp’s role in platoon comes to mind. He doesn’t have a lot of lines or screen time but is still very memorable and entertaining

I'm starting acting at 31 years old and I keep hearing young actors is it better to start young now im getting doubts that its too late for me to acted.

Bryan Cranston didn't get his breakthrough role (breaking bad) until he was 51. Dorothy Steel was a minor actor who appeared in Jumanji and Black Panther. She didn't even start acting until 88. Age doesn't matter when it comes to acting.

Are you saying you keep hearing from young actors that it is better to start young? If so, you haven't heard advice from everyone of all ages. Not everyone breaks out young or has resources for them at a young age. Watch Ke Huy Quans speech from the 2023 oscars if you havent, if so, watch it again, you do you, and chase your dream, it doesn't matter your age.

I think it's quite the contrary. You've got more emotional material, more life experiences to tap into.

It's both. Two things can be true at the same time. It's a skill just like painting or making music. Sure some people make money for it ; but the more accurate statement is "acting isn't JUST a profession". I'd like to think this is what you were getting at but I worry you were just trying to be a negative Nancy.
