FYI, the Nemo tents don't seem to do well in the wind. We are looking for a new tent and saw this a few days ago. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pJeTfnyYo7p5lbs
@JonConti3 жыл бұрын
@@tuckerg1975 I just took my Nemo Dagger to the Wind River Range where the wind was brutal. It worked great. But that tent is heavier than my hornet and that guys dragonfly. I wonder if there's a cutoff where super light weight becomes fragile.
@tuckerg19753 жыл бұрын
@@JonConti I'm sure there is. I think the high fly of your tent and the dragonfly also contributes to catching wind instead of shedding it. Looking forward to the Wind River video! Just watched a two-hour WR camping video and that place is definitely on the to-do list now!

Some epic drone footage in this video. Love it! That Cutthroat was absolutely beautiful. So your tent decided to become a bivysack for the night, added to the adventure and it gives you a good reason to go to REI for either a tent repair or new tent. Thanks Jon…

Loved this video. Please, for the love of the fish, get a small net. Golden's and other high altitude fish can be somewhat delicate - it'll help get them out of the water fast and gently and then back in.

My favorite mountain lake to fish for golden trout is mystery lake. It is located in the Frank Church Wilderness. You can drive to the trailhead on Loon Creek road which is the only road in all of the Frank Church Wilderness. The road dead ends at Loon Creek which is my favorite place to tenkara fly fish. You can hike to a hot springs located on the creek which makes for an amazing fishing spot. The whole area is a protected trout habitat so it is only catch and release.
