I live in socastee but I work at 30th avenue Dunkin. We were open during most of the storm and we had to go home at peek at the storm and I was able to drive 20 minutes in the store and I was fine. I've had our regular customers show us where they're inground pool became the ocean and the storm surge was 4 ft up on the glass at the South end. Please pray that those businesses recover from this I've even heard stories of a regular customers mom who is a housekeeper who had to work in this and they had to be rescued out of the second floor during the storm. Again please pray. To me and other locals this is a storm not a hurricane

In case anyone is wondering That ship was out fishing on Thursday night and got trapped during the strong waves and anchored and called out and abandoned it. During the Eye/Eyewall of the hurricane the ship got unanchored and got dragged by the waves onto the beach causing a lot of police units and fire units fly around Ocean Blvd. Insane how powerful the Cat 1 is and my first hurricane of experiencing my first hurricane here.
