Also, on the topic of the crowd, the lead singer Charlie was in a very well known pop band before forming Fightstar and during this period, Fightstar were finding it hard for the rock community to accept them as a genuine act. Charlie said it was "arms crossed, f*** off, impress me." They didn't want to accept the fact that someone from a pop band could make a great rock frontman so they were hard to impress

I saw Fightstar live when they supported Funeral For A Friend and someone threw an egg at Charlie for this exact reason. The elitism was disgusting. Funeral For A Friend came on stage and refused to play until the guy who threw the egg was kicked out, saying that disrespecting their support band was the same as disrespecting them.

@@joshhanson6538 oh yeah Charlie carried right on. Think he dumped like a bottle of water over his head to get the egg out and just kept going. I didn't even realise what had happened until Funeral For A Friend came on stage and kicked up a fuss about it. Good on Fightstar for never rising to it and good on FFAF for sticking up for them. Seen Fightstar a few times and it's a shame the bands not still around. I have their first three albums signed hanging around somewhere.

Sorry I am a bit late to the party. This hasn’t come up on my searches before. Thank you. This is my favourite tune. It has been my wake up alarm every morning since i bought it. 10+ years since. As for the crowd this was just after Charlie left Busted a UK boy band. And the crowd probably thought Fu boy band. Shame cos they are awesome and so is Busted. Every time i go see them i am bouncing to the tunes. Wish I could see them in London next week. 😢

One of their best songs I love the way it just transports you to a different dimension, especially when the rain kicks in. In my opinion the best version is the EP. Alex and Charlie are amazing musicians as well as Omar (the most underappreciated drummer)

Also, the reason the crowd at moving is because they don't feel the music cuz they judge the lead singer for being in a boy band called Busted

Listen to Charlie Simpson solo stuff. Go for cemetery, great song. Another fightstar song is lost like tears in rain. Get that listened to if you haven't already

One of those shows where you get a fistful of qualudes at the door? Crowd sucked. I liked everything except for the drum sound. Drums, especially the snare, sounded kinda flat to me. Never heard this band before, but I'd check 'em out again. Peace! Cheers!!!
