Great review, I got started with the vl also, now use the talon as my work horse in both siphon and gravity feeds, had both for quite a few years, found them to be very decent brushes, I agree with the trigger to cup deal, and do resort back to my iwata when I get into the the finer details in my works, just to get a slightly better wrap around the trigger for control. Your shop always looks well organized 👍

I have both the gravity and suction feed versions of the Talon and quite like them, my only real gripe is they're a bit nose heavy if you fill that cup up... The Raptor is my preference but only because of the smaller paint cup

I have a couple Paasche talon tg airbrushes.. Love them, especially their versatility.. I also have a paasche raptor and vision airbrush as well.. They all use the same needles and nozzles so that is also very convenient.. They also offer a tt0 needle nozzle setup that fits all the airbrushes.. its a .2 So you actually can now get 4 different sizes in one airbrush.. Very convenient.. I had never used the fan cap but thanks to your video I will be using it now.. The allen wrench is for taking apart the air valve assembly...Thanks for the info it was helpful and insightful as always... Until next time

They have a 1mm as well and you can put a fan cap on that (T-227-4 & TAF-4). I know most will cringe, but I unscrewed the trigger stop adjustment screw and took a pair of pliers and gently grip the thread perpendical on the thread and then test the screw fit. I did this because I don't like how loose it is and by lightly damaging the thread gives just enough resistance that the screw will stay where you set it.

I'll throw a note in here. I have a VL brush and wanted a finer tip. I was able to get a blemished Vision with the 0.2mm tip for $90 off the Paasche site. It's just the airbrush, but I already have the hose and everything else. The clearance section on their site is a great place to get deals with "blemished" airbrushes and other items. Sometimes they'll have entire boxed sets in the clearance section. Now as for the blemish. Can't find one, still trying to figure out why they said it was blemished. The lessons pamphlet makes me smile. It's tha same sheet that came with my VL 40 years ago.🙂

Damn, you could paint you house! Okay, maybe not your house...but maybe the dog's house. I've been interested in the Talon for a while because they look so cool. Thanks for the great video.

Thanks, Mark. Yeah, I've been enjoying it since I got it. I think they could make the trigger mechanism a little smoother. It's a little "clicky" in the up and down direction. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching

Hey all, So I’ve landed on Paasche as my first even airbrush purchase. Fairly well agreed upon by friends and internet alike. Question: Do you recommend a full (and r specific) kit with most everything, or purchase everything separately? Suggestions on full kits to purchase? Most importantly: Where do I find the best value? Amazon has a bunch of Paasche products, maybe some specific item numbers or similar? Any info is appreciate and by anyone. Thanks a lot for taking the time!

Depends on what you are painting and what paint you'll be using.

A very robust airbrush for the money, and parts are available and very cheap, needle, air cap, and nozzle as a set, less then $17! The nozzle is really large and easy to work with VS many other higher end airbrush’s. This airbrush is built like a Tank, it will improve performance if you polish the needles! Most airbrush issues are not the airbrush, but paint and/or air pressure! NOTE: the trigger has a front and back, the part of the trigger that has a round surface, goes closest to the bowl/cup, the flat surface rides the trigger pressure plate and tension rod!

The only thing I can personally say about Paasche is the their nozzles are very week. But they do spray well when they do!
