He could have had a arm covering his mouth, keeping the snow from entering his nostrils/mouth. Snow is naturally very powery, especially after an avalange, so there wouldvw been a lot of air in the snow around him This also explains how he got stuck and couldn't move: the snow aeound and below him was too powdery, and if he moved around, he would have potentially sank, and only people walking on top of the snow would have been able to get him out safely

The rescue team should make 2 new operations called. Project Nighttime Owl (or bat) and Project Daytime Hawk. The individual is hiding under snow and plays insect sounds, and the owl/bat/hawk finds the location of the sound and starts flying around the area. The individual must have a small detector that will be activated when the individual has been missing for a while. Then, the rescue team can bring the animal to fly around, and when it stops at sound, the team goes towards it. They will train the animals to only look for that specific sound. (The operation will only take place in the snowy mountain region, and the sound will be that of an animal from the far south ex Majeorona aper.) The bird will have a tracker on its leg. The sound of the detector is very loud to help the bird
