The only way it will be considered a short is if you film the video like it was a short. So if you film with your phone a short is filmed vertically. If you film a video in the horizontal position no matter the how long the video is when you upload it’ll be a regular video

Yea this is true but these longer shorts will most likely kill retention on videos because of the short attention span of most if not almost all of shorts consumers. I can see people making 3 min long short and a lot of people scroll find the video lose interest because the video is to long. Not saying it isn’t a good thing but retention on videos will go down until people who can sit through a 3 minute video or less is found.
