As a Capricorn, I quit medical school three yrs ago without my parents’ consent. Nobody in my family even knew. I graduated with 2:1 in Education at another Nigerian university they didn’t know about, and I did this to build my London career in tech. My parents finally knew I left medical school in Nigeria when I graduated in Education. They were madddd but I didn’t look back, didn’t care about their opinions cos they would have dissuaded me, stopped me, destroyed my dreams which they admitted to. Now, guess what, I’m in London building my tech career, cos I want to be a boss product manager/VP of product at a big tech company. Capricorns are capable of anything just to achieve their goals.

This video was so timely. I’ve taken one month breaks here and there but a year-long sabbatical sounds like a dream. I’m laser focused on saving right now, not for a sabbatical but to pay off debt and I can’t tell you how good it was to hear you say “I can’t afford that.” There’s no shame in admitting that and I need to remind myself of that every day, but it’s so hard when my mindset was programmed to “treat yourself” for years. You are such an inspiration on so many levels. I wish you all the best with Fade ❤
