Itachi has seen a lot of things in his life. He’s carried the whole shinobi world on his back, having witnessed it’s darkness, contributed to it even, and in the end, was killed by it, having lost everything he loved to it. Naruto isn’t too far different. He also has seen the world as it is, and has experienced that hatred first hand. He’s faced it, carried it, and in his own way, probably contributed to it, if only secretly in his heart. But unlike Itachi, Naruto never gave up and he always believed that there was a better way out. Instead of being swallowed by guilt, he took his power and used it to make the world a better place. This story is the story that would have taken place if these two had truly met before everything was set in motion. A master plan cooked up by Hiruzen to give two misfits a friend.

I think a third part is needed. With Sauske hating Itachi and Naruto loving Itachi, it creates an interesting plot. This can be explored in the next part and see how the series would progress. It could help solidify Naruto and Sasuke's friendship. Also I recently rewatched a video about itachi living a happy life and I was wondering if we could get a second part to that one. It ended with a cliffhanger when Danzo showed up to itachi's birthday party. I thought that what if is really good and would like to see it continued seeing that Itachi always seems to suffer a lot in these what ifs.

There needs to be another part or a sequel or something. Naruto actively trying to be friends with Sasuke for Itachi's sake will make a huge difference in their dynamic, which is the central axis of the entire Naruto+Shippuden saga. It would also make a marked difference in the post Konoha crush arc storylines when Itachi was introduced. Him actively trying to subtly sabotage the capture of Naruto by the Akatsuki for eg.
