I just realized something: at the start of the show, Sokka was the only male left to defend the southern water tribe because all of the warriors left in order to fight in the war. At the beginning of S2 Pakku and some young men from the nothern watertribe left in order to help rebuild the their southern counterparts. As we see in TLOK the Southern Watertribe thrived because of it so here's the thing lol: obviously the women were left behind without the men so it's very likely that some women who thougt their husbands or bethroded died in war started to help, you know, 'repopulate' the south in order for their tribe and culture to survive. I'm obviously not saying all of them, most were probably single anyway or confirmed widows, but I'm 100% there had to be atleast one Instance where an already married southern water tribe wife started to lose hope her husband would return from the war and thus began a relationship with a nothern watertribe tribe member. Only for the husband to return and finding his wife having a new family 😂 I know it's cruel but I'd love to see the drama in that situation lmooo 😂😂

Those are the air acolytes. In one of the comics, there were "fans" of aang, but they took it a bit too far and basically appropriated air nomad culture to "support" aang. Aang told them that he really found that insensitive but if they really want to learn more about Airbender culture, they can learn from him. That started the air acolytes, basically anyone who wanted to learn about Airbender culture and customs, and became people who took care of the four air temples.
