@DH-TV the owners have an operating model which has allowed the team over ten years or so to nearly catch Ciy through a model with pays for itself. The model is improving all the time. Three contracts in the grand scheme of the total operating model is irrelevant. Just enjoy the football and let the club worry about what goes on in the background. It is the best we have been for a sustained period for over 30 years. Enjoy it, we are not Spurs fans who are never happy with anything

I don't think- baring in mind we've had failed bids of 115m for caicedo, 50m for lavia and 50m for zubimendi - that's there's not a bit of business we could do to provide a bit of cover at centre back without breaking ffp regulations. Konate was still wearing a knee brace in training, quansah is a young lad with potential but has been a bag of nerves all season and we're an injury to him or virg away from endo at centre back. Could slot "find solutions" like klopp had to? I don't doubt it, but it could be the difference between a loss and a draw or a draw or a win and we've missed out on titles by a point twice in the last 5 or so years

We have to be very careful their midfield will be Mainoo Ungarte and Fernandez. They have legs. Also for the first time Amorim will have had a week to evolve when in total he has had previously 4 days in total. We must be ruthless and not complacent and work hard for the win. They will be awkward aggressive and the crowd will be toxic. Heads over hearts. Those predicting a cricket score beware. 3 points is what we need without major injury or incident and I’d be happy with any score.

What happens with the contracts happens. None of us know the details behind the scene's and what are the motivations behind each party. Everyone was made up when Edwards and co returned so we just need to trust them. I personally would be gutted losing any of them but I have decided to just enjoy the football and hopefully god willing the silverware at the end of this season.

This is the most rational discussion about the contract situation. The guys were spot on the Trent. This has become the circus which he’s trying to avoid. It’s hard for fans not to get emotional about the situation, him being a local lad and going away for free. Fans also need to respect his decision if he wants to go for that ‘Hollywood’ stardom like Beckham (which I don’t understand as he has already achieved that while he’s at Liverpool; he is on the billboard of major brands already). Happy New Year. FSG have definitely dropped the ball along with Hughes and Edwards on contracts. This should have been sorted before Jurgen announced his departure, but we are where we are and can only hope for the best. As for Trent, it's his choice, but beware what you wish for because it might just come true. There graveyards full of foreign players who've gone to Real Madrid and Barcelona and it hasn't worked out. That's not even including the politics that goes on at Real Madrid. Thoughts on Trent: It's his contract and life, not the fans. He's won everything with LFC and been at the same club for 20 years. He's seen Jürgen walk because he wasn't financially backed by FSG. He struggles to defend, run or shoot, so not the next SG8 in midfield. He's ideally suited to high possession walking football in La Liga. His boyfriend🐹plays for them. Different ways to look at it. Regardless of how we see it, it is still a job. Imagine your job - and you're the best at it - said "thanks for your efforts but we're reducing your wages now" and another company down the road said "well we'll double your wages, give you a signing on fee and you'll pay no tax". I honestly don't understand all this faux pussyfooting around the subject of TAA and whether he's leaving or not. It's more or less obvious he's leaving for Madrid! If he was staying he'd be obviously more positive about staying when asked and be looking to compromise through his representatives with respect to lowering his demand. The only question would be whether Madrid take him in Jan or the summer. It would be a major surprise for him to leave this month, and I don't think it's likely as they'll get him for free in the summer and so would be able to offer TAA better personal terms not having to dole out for even on a knocked down transfer fee. Also TAA would want to take the opportunity to win a second PL and CL as unfinished business that City and Madrid have denied him of previously. If Liverpool currently had no chance of winning either it would a lot more likely he'd be gone this month, if Madrid really wanted him asap. If TAA has nade his mind up to leave in the summer and let Madrid know his intentions he's being a real shit (no pun intended) about stringing the club and the fans along thinking there's a possibility he could stay.
