What a great little gem to run back across. That's some awesome advice and techniques, Jeremy! My wife and I were in the Conejos area last week and we really miss the Fox Creek Store that the Smith family owned. Greg, Karla, and their children were and are wonderful people. RIP Greg.

Dr. Smith guessed right. I stopped in this shop the season before they closed and spoke to this young man. He couldn’t of been nicer. I asked about access and he shared a ton of information not only about access, but regulations, hatches and the river itself. It was obvious to me he knew what he was talking about, unfortunately the following season when I stopped at his shop I learned that they had closed. When I inquired about him in one of the Santa Fe shops I was told he had moved to Texas.

Is it any wonder ? Not very professional with a cig hanging out of his mouth all the time and dont get me started on that goatee thing he's got hanging off his face . Good gawd , I wouldn't hire him no matter how good he guides .

I could care less if he has a cig hanging out of his mouth ...and I have a goatee and I'm a Doctor pulling down $300,000 / yr with a thriving practice.I'd hire a good o'l local boy that's a great fisherman and guide any day of the week. Adds to the flavor of the experience .I bet he's a damn nice guy that would give you the shirt off his back.
