I enjoyed both a ton, so I have 0 problems recommending either, but the manga was definitely a great read. I've read it quite a few times, and there are parts of the story that're left out in the anime if I'm not mistaken.

The manga is marginally better than the anime, the op's alone make up for the missed content. I can't remember Bakuman without the Chou Hero song gives me chills because it's another homage to dragonball

The anime is outstanding, the only bad thing about it is that they didn’t show Azuki & Moritaka’s wedding ceremony. However, it still had a solid ending

Just finished the anime and damn, I binged like 20 episodes a day what the actual fuck. The premise was repetitive but addictive and it ended up being satisfying as hell. Definitely a recommended anime for anyone.

I found this series on a whim in my middle school library and fell in love with it immediately. It's such a shame a lot of people haven't heard of it. The art is surprisingly good and the action is crazy intense for a slice of life anime

This series both motivates me and also gives me depression. Growing up, I wanted to be a comic artist, but I gave up that dream during junior high. It was for the same reasons Mashiro mentions. It's a gamble, takes way too much dedication, low pay, cut throat industry, etc. So I really relate to Mashiro on how he lost his passion too, but he ended up striving for it, so it makes me wonder where i'd be today if i'd done the same.

I started the manga back in the day, and as much as I appreciated, I didn't have the time or money to keep up with it. Here I am, about 10 years later, and I finally found it on hulu and finished it. This is such a good anime! Like you said, this is one of those shows that actually does inspire you to work hard. I used to draw a ton. But I had taken a hiatus for years. It hasn't been that long since I took the pen back up. I'm actually working on a graphic novel thanks to this show! I don't know what will come of it, but I'm enjoying it. While watching your video, I was actually working on a fan art of Hattori and Miura. Love the support and dedication the guys give our lead dynamic duo

underrated? no its old, thats why people don't talk about it anymore. It had 3 seasons of anime, Which is VERY rare, it had an end, it had 2 live actions movies and even a Nintendo DS game. You can't pull that off if it is underrated

The anime DID get a dub by Media Blasters (which funny enough is known for dubbing hentai), and they dubbed the first 13 episodes, BUT only released the first 7 (which I physically own). But then Media Blasters went out of business and never continued the dub. I really hope Viz Media or Crunchyroll will take the chance to dub this series!

I was never a big fan of the author. In terms of moral conflict and quick engagement with the plot and the characters I always felt that both "Assassination Classroom " and "Food Wars" did a better job. Mostly because Tsugumi Ōba has the tendency to focus too much on the plot and not enough on the characters. But I really like Bakuman, much more than Death Note (by the way: the death note novels and the japanese live action trilogy are better than the anime, in my opinion). I feel that the Bakuman manga is better than the anime, mostly because I actually think that in this case the manga is better drawn than the anime.

It's a shame that only the First season was Dubbed I guess it wasn't popular enough to continue dubbing the other 2 seasons One of my most favourite sites to download Anime from only has the first 7 episodes dubbed yet has all 3 Seasons Subbed, I'm definitely going to watch it as I'm only 4 Volumes away & I've been reading it since around 2014 so it's taken like 6 years to read one Series

My joint-favourite manga of all time, alongside Food Wars. I actually think this is their best work, ahead of Death Note. I feel that Death Note fell away after L's death. Meanwhile, what I love about Bakuman is the cast. Every single character is unique, entertaining and has a crucial role to play. All of that applies to Food Wars too, in fact. Maybe that's why I love both of them.
