If you find pottery marked McE or MMcE, that was my grandmother's mark, Margaret McEachern. She participated in the founding of Pottery Northwest.

Maybe a little bit, but most of the green is because the coin was in acidic flip. 13:23

So glad you were able to sell the carving!! I listed the Caldwell bone cutlery set again, stating it was bovine bone and it got booted off again, it said I didn't say what kind of bovine....I couldn't believe it!!!🤦♀️

I get the same feeling when selling a vintage car to collector or just someone who admired the vehicle & always wanted it.. I dont always make tremendous profit after restoration, but I feel great when it goes to a buyer who really appreciates it..its going to a good home

Absolutely! I never made money on a collector car, but I loved driving every one and seeing where they went

@@TheAntiqueNomad i’ve been doing this for 40 years you are extremely well-rounded and knowledgeable hard to find somebody with such immense knowledge I find worlds fair stuff is very undervalued especially when people don’t realize what is World’s Fair school really about and the buildings that were there and the narrative to them stating that a building at the 1876 world fair in Philadelphia where I live was 21 acres in size and that it was taken down six months later temporary and that along with 40 other massive buildings we’re all built in two years absolutely an impossibility specially when the first power tool wasn’t invented until 1895 what kind of digging equipment did they have what kind of horse could carry granite and brick and marble through the mud it doesn’t add up it was an advanced technology in building and many other things that’s being hidden that’s why six months after these worlds fair somehow they are caught on fire or they were torn down. Seems like trying to hide something when the narrative is the same on everything there can’t be that many coincidences? I think I might’ve mentioned before the check out my friend who has my lunch break on KZbin usually no more than 18 minutes chock-full of amazing informative discoveries of the hidden past

@@davidwilley3609 very cool! I think early Worlds Fairs had to be temporary because they couldn’t use permanent materials and get them done on time, a lot were plaster and horsehair and while light, it wasn’t weatherproof

I opened my eBay store only a few months ago, so I don't yet have an established following. Doesn't that reduce the visibility and subsequent success of listing items for auction?

This is gonna sound outrageous, but I have about 50 packages of vintage colored toilet paper right now that came from a hoarders estate. All late 70s with cool packaging, etc. They usually sell for about $25-40 a package and I had all of mine removed from eBay for "Price gouging essential goods". I ended up going through a winding path of various customer service reps until I got to a lady with eBay's policy team, who was very nice and she told me I was the fifth person to call that day about vintage toilet paper but there wasn't anything she could do to help even though she agreed it was all 50 years old and nobody's actually using it. It has something to do with how the system picks up keywords and it's like, hard coded into the system. eBay can be weird sometimes.
@TheAntiqueNomad Жыл бұрын
It's always a big dance with them, but if you can weave around it, you can usually sell things that should be allowed! That's an interesting and silly story, clearly that was put in during the pandemic and no one is price gouging for toilet paper now!

Loretta ain't well ever since the Chinese restaurant was shut down by the health department. She has been off her feed cause the owners and twins, Long and Harry Wang got deported over some mix-ups concerning missing cats. Loretta claims they had the very best spring rolls made with a special sauce they had personally whipped up in the kitchen. Buster and Ellis have tried and tried again to duplicate that sauce but to no avail. Loretta says it was creamy, salty with just a twang of hot peppers in the aftertaste. Poor poor Loretta.
