Love your videos. I am a eBay seller who travels to the U.S. a lot from Canada, I have only gotten inspected once in over 50 trips back and forth and I usually have a full SUV truck full of stuff. They are very understanding of people buying vintage stuff.

Going back and watching again. There were a couple plates at the estate sale I liked - one had a sail ship on it, and the other had yellow warblers on it. I think the Avon _Cape Cod_ was made by Fenton, for Avon, wasn't it? I have some old board games - Nancy Drew, Dana Girls, Hardy Boys, Barnabas Collins, Dark Shadows, Rin-Tin-Tin, etc.. That "fast sale" display case was great!

Imperial did the first Cape Cod pattern in their heyday, then Avon commissioned Wheaton Glass to do their Cape Cod pattern in deep 1970s red. The fast sale case, how I regret leaving it! I just really wasn't sure the US border patrol would believe that I only paid the equivalent of $37.50 at the border, they are horrible there sometimes and could've claimed I owed more in tax than the piece cost.

A Belated Happy Birthday George! It seems they are all rushing to get rid of their full sets of dinnerware there in Canada. I like Corning bakeware. When I moved out and started my own kitchen the sale set was the plain white. I have some casseroles, and smaller sets as well. Between those and my longaberger 9x13 pottery bakers and pampered chef stoneware... lol worked through the 80s in Dexter Shoe factory with lots of women and party plans... 😂

@@TheAntiqueNomad OK, I had it wrong on the _Cape Cod_ by Avon. Wheaton did a lot of the miniature bottles, too, didn't they? I think I have a Drum and Cannonballs bottle by Wheaton, NJ. I think I would've left the sale tag on the case, and showed it to the border patrol. Surely they would accept receipt, wouldn't they? That was a unique piece. I'm sure you did regret having to leave it!

Interesting to see you shopping in the thrifts in my area. I never find any good vintage porcelain or glass in Value Village. All the thrifts have tons of Johnson Bros., and shelves of teacups and saucers, mostly priced too high considering single item (a cup and saucer) Royal this and Royal that are so common. All the thrifts - and also all the antique malls/stores - stock multiple Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, despite thousands of copies lying around: I think the dealers like them more than their customers!
