Nats fan here, their biggest problem is pitching. The Corbin and the Strasburg contracts are killing the Nats. Stras has a whopping ONE WIN since the Nats won the WS in 19 and Corbin only has 15 wins since the 19 WS. Not saying that trading Soto and Bell doesn't hurt, I loved both as players, but the Nats have a lot of money tied up in pitchers that are supposed to be our ace starters. Add to the fact that the Nats have started 18 different starting pitchers so far this year. There's not a true ace on this roster minus Stras when and if he is healthy and Josiah Gray has a long way to go. I think the Nats are just going to shut Stras down for the season. Even with Soto and Bell on the roster, it was going to be a long rebuild because of our pitching debacle. Just my two cents.

you have to be with the team through the ups and downs, it makes the success more satisfying, reason why 2019 was so great was because of all the heartbreak that came before it, the nats will be back in the playoffs in 3-5ish years
