If you've ever experienced depersonalization, you know how difficult it can be to stay positive and motivated. It's very easy to think you're going crazy and feel like you'll never be able to get rid of the symptoms. Also, you wonder if the symptoms do go away, "will they stay gone forever?". You wonder if you'll have to spend the rest of your life wrestling with the symptoms or not. This video is here to help you! We'll explore the question of whether or not depersonalization symptoms will remain gone once they go away initially. I also share an amazing message I just got from a former client who remained free of depersonalization despite incredibly difficult circumstances. If you're struggling with depersonalization or derealization, we gave some resources available for you.

If you want my step by step program for eliminating depersonalization and derealization called the S5 method, visit Dprecovery.com.
My name is Jordan Hardgrave. I once suffered from debilitating trauma, depersonalization/derealization, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, health anxiety, social anxiety, existential anxiety, and many more things that wasted many years of my life. I was tired, frustrated, and gave up hope that I could ever find healing. To be honest, I didn’t even know I was traumatized. My symptoms became a part of who I was. They became “normal”. Many years ago, after throwing together all the tools I could find online (most of which didn’t help), I accidentally stumbled upon a body-based method that brought me permanent healing. I figured, “If I apply all these tools at the same time surely one will work”. Little did I know at the time that hidden within the dozens of tools that didn’t work, I had discovered body-based tools that DID work, which skyrocketed my results and got me to being 100% symptom free.
When I was suffering I made a commitment that if I ever could become symptom free (I never thought I actually would, lol), that I would spend the rest of my life helping others heal. I spent tens of thousands of hours and dollars studying under the top trauma and mental health experts in the world, as well as constantly perfecting my method until it would bring rapid results no matter how long someone had been suffering. I based my method off evidence-based tools as well as the work and understanding of experts such as Dr. Steven Porges, Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Peter A Levine, and Dr. Joseph LeDoux just to name a few.
Yes, here I am. Like Forest Gump fulfilling his promise to Bubba that he would become a shrimp boat captain, I am at your service. :) I created the Trauma Free Academy as a resource to help you find the healing you have been searching for but have only been met with confusion. I don’t want you to have to make the many mistakes I made that wasted so much of my life. I want to show you how to get to the root of your symptoms instead of managing them for years but never getting to 100%. If you’re ready to go on this journey with me, follow me. Also, I have created tons of paid resources as well if you’re wanting more specific and personalized help. Here is what we have to offer:
DISCLAIMER: Nothing I say should by email or in any form of communication replace a consultation with a licensed mental health professional and doctor for diagnosis and treatment. I am unable to diagnose or treat any sort of medical or mental health condition. I am also unable to prescribe medication or give any advice about medication other than my general opinion. Anything I say in any form of communication is my personal opinion and should be treated as such and not taken as medical advice or seen as an attempt to diagnose or treat any sort of medical or mental health condition. Thank you.

It's important to remember that doing the work to recover might be difficult at first but when you get the hang of it, it actually becomes something very relaxing/pleasurable to do so you WON'T want to stop doing it.

When you were going through anxiety, were you finding yourself constantly thinking? I feel like I think 99% of the day. Not even about anxious thoughts, just anything. I feel like it’s what makes me feel so tired all the time

I've been using your S5 course for about 2 months after over a year of DPDR after a bad marijuana experience (I had plenty of childhood trauma and no coping strategies so that cup was already quite full). Not knowing what was going on with me for an entire year was just pure misery. The rummaging, the existential craziness, the constant catastrophizing every symptom despite having a clean bill of health was pure hell. Through your course I have finally been able to calm most of this craziness and I am finally hopeful I can fully get out of this and never go back so thank you so much for that. In your experience can things like happiness and brain fogginess take a while to comeback even once your are consistently implementing S5 and most of the other bad stuff has finally quieted down?

@@coachjordanhardgrave Does DPDR actually damage your brain from the shutdown ? Like when your pre frontal cortex and everything gets shut down. Does it damage it ? Or can we reverse it and go back to being normal 100%? I know that's reassurance but you did go through it I deff trust you .

@@mattrinehart9348 One of the first things I remember for Jordans videos is that DPDR cannot hurt you. It's your brains response to a trauma. The DPDR your experiencing is your brains primitive coping mechanism to disassociate you from pain if it thinks your going to die. DPDR feels like hell, but it cannot actually cause you or your brain damage. Everything I've learned is that your brain is safe, it's merely trying to protect you by causing DPDR and that once you've taken the proper steps Jordan talks about in his videos and course your brain will flip back to it's normal state.

@@coachjordanhardgraveThanks Jordan! I appreciate the response and again thanks for all the work you've put in to your course and your channel. DPDR is such a misunderstood and underrecognized thing in the mental health world and I feel lucky to have found your resources.

I had it in 1983 before help from the internet. I can still get that same old feeling when i travel alone far from home but it doesnt bother me anymore. I just see it as introspection, viewing myself from a higher plain. The 80's were no fun though.
