Awesome that I found thos vid! I thought I could just twist the lid switch wires together, but after a few loads the motor quit working. I counted the red lights on the motor to 7 and seen from the chart in the vid that the lid needs to open occasionally. Had to untwist the wires and then twist them back.

I can not see any red or green flashing lights when I remove the front panel. Do I have to remove something else in order to see them? Also should washer be plugged in? Mine showa a green light that flashes for a second and goes off for a second. The tub will fill and then after several minutes it will drain but it doesnt agitate or spin. Any suggestions??

can you please help me. my hydro wave washer motor flashes for one Second on and one Second off. BUT after it is filled with water it does nothing no agitation or spin and after a while the motor light flashes 10 times and turns off for about 3 seconds only not six as Indicated on all videos I have watched what could the problem be? do I need to replace the motor? please help

My hydrowave will spin fine but will only agitate in very little movement. I checked the bell coupler and it is in perfect shape, does this mean it must be the shift mode shaft?

my red light flashes 7 times and the door switch checks ok. have continuity on Orange wire at motor plug to wall plug post. tried to reset fault using the 6 times in 12 seconds. did not work Help please

Thanks for making these videos. I have an older GE Washer with a green light instead of red. It is flashing once a second, but my motor will not turn on. The washer fills and drains, but it doesn't agitate or spin. Any idea what is wrong?

Also, One of the wire connectors inside one of the 6 pin harness connectors broke. Anyone have any ideas on how to replace/repair just that. I think I might have to find the identical harness because I am not having any luck finding the little metal connector that goes into the 1 of 6 harness holes. Thanks for any advice

The door switch is most likely bad. I cut out the switch and twisted the two wires together. This is not the proper, or safest method, but it will get you up and running, until you can install a new switch.

Okay, so I by passed the switch and it didn't work. I had to reset the and erase the error codes... So I took the two wires and touched them together 5 or 6 times and cleared the codes and tried again and bingo! It works! Thanks! now do you know anything about dryers? Many many thanks!

So ticked off about my GE washer. Transmission replaced before and now light is flashing 3 times which indicates I need a new motor....this thing is less than a year old! So mad at GE.

condor5635 same thing here. Motor crapped at about 2 years. Everything on internet said motor failure is very rare. But there sure are a lot of them for sale out there. I live in Dallas, a metroplex of about 4 million people, and could not find one in stock anywhere, everyone was sold out, said they went through them pretty quickly. Luckily I am a mechanic and have been fixing my own washers and dryers for years. I think I paid about 399.00 for the washer and to have the motor repaired by a service tech would have cost me about 550.00. ?? WTF ?? I got real lucky and found a guy in Ft Worth that overnighted a slightly used one for 70 bucks. But to have a washer break down that fast is ridiculous. The one I had before I think was a used Kenmore I believe, and it lasted about 15 years with only small issues like switches. Damn shame, GE used to be such a symbol of quality and American made. Seems to be the way everything is going these days. Everything is basically disposable. Thats why it's so hard to stay ahead financially, every time you turn around something is breaking down and it's cheaper to replace than repair.

Angel Mendoza mine did this too. Turned out the white wire with red runner had broken off at the wire harness plastic connector 6pin where it connects to the motor. Make sure all your harness connectors are still solid and intact.

razzledingle - so glad to hear. I even secured the wire harness with a large zip tie against the motor to keep it secure. That thing get some severe vibrations!

la lavadora mia no lava ni exprime se remplzo el motor y el capacitor de arranque y sigue la falla el timer se ve en buenas condiciones y el suiche de la puerta hace el pase de corriente que puede estar malo

@@surfsupbro4476 Bad system board... no way to flash or update, so we bought another machine because replacing the system board would cost nearly the same price as a New machine. Good luck, man... not really a big decision when you get Completely New spending nearly the same $$.
