Why would the host start the interview like that? He didn't start by introducing their characters or even what show they're on. Probably why Rachel started the interview off by talking super slowly & why Santino/Greg was lowkey laughing while she did it.

I should stop watching these interviews, I get disappointed. The point setting this series apart is not "not being formulaic", it is an honest and somewhat compassionate study of the human mind and heart, especially around mental illnesses. It means more to me than some love triangle drama, that's not all CEGF is.

This series is innovative for American television. The British have combined music and comedy/drama for years as a means of telling a story but without the need to be formulaic in their 'original' stories and without the need for a happy ending. My hope is that the various characters do ultimately find their individual happiness but it'll take a long time and a great deal of effort and growth.
