McCarron's Armored Cavalry, or "The Big MAC", is one of the oldest, largest, and most successful merc units in the sphere throughout basically all of the playable lore era's of battletech. I can't remember off hand if they had SLDF roots post exodus, but if you're in the military world in the inner sphere, you know the Big Mac. They've served house Liao for most of the playable era's, at one point even being absorbed into the CCAF as a proper house unit, but coming into the ilclan era they've decided to split off and do their own merc thing again. No clue why, i haven't dug that deep, but there you go lol

The mechs from this set come directly from the novel " Blood Will Tell" we just sat at the very end of the fall of the Republic of the Sphere.

the MAC are mercenary but treated like a house unit similar to the Kell Hounds the MAC have some interesting rules in Field Manual Cappelan Confederation like the command batallion only needing to spend 1 banked initiative instead of the standard 2 when using banking initiative ability

I really enjoyed using the Tian Zong and Shen Yi as stealth line holders in SA3. Glad more are getting exposure to the mech.

I got two of these packs From two different stores. Neither of the Tian Zong have that front panel issue yours does. Also as an aside that Awesome art that is supposed to be for MAC 3rd is not matching the Camospecs at all.

Going to be honest, the number one reason I don’t have more of the mercenary themed boxes is the duplication. I don’t need a 3rd Atlas or Mad Cat. Or a 2nd Crusader. I want more light mechs. Come on catalyst, give us a couple light lances.

I’d love to see a box with 3 reposes of the lights that don’t have a ton (Jenner, Panther, stinger, etc) and a brand new one. Hermit crab, Cossack, crimson hawk, something that gives us that new light mech.

The tian-zong came from the talented Wizkids and I feel like it was promptly forgotten even in those circles. This version is so much better though and one reason I want to see CGL dip into Dark Age stuff, just because I'd expect so much better from them now. I don't mind seeing a few repeat units so much as long as we get some variants out of the deal. There've been I've liked more than the original releases, like the warhammer 7S's symetrical SRM boxes, so a quad ppc awesome and a new mech are about enough to get me to want this at some point. Kind of also wish the black knight had a sword to though lol
