A little milestone for us ... we have a new addition to our family: The Armoury Atelier at Carlyle & Co., an incredible member's club in the Rosewood Hotel, Kowloon. The atelier is like a micro-Armoury, geared towards offering custom commissions and especially convenient for Carlyle & Co. members and residents of Kowloon. Although we're situated in a member's club, everyone is welcome to visit. Hi Mark. What material is the Safari jacket you wearing? Also, what do you think of wearing summer wool safari jacket in Hong Kong's summer? You mentioned you offer that choice in NYC. Thanks

Hi Athan, Mark is wearing a Black linen safari in this video. It is a special version we created for the Carlyle & Co club with contrast stitching. Wool Safaris in the right weight, texture and pattern can definitely work. Given the weather in HK is warmer for longer than NYC you may find a wool one less useful for HK than for NYC. We offer Safari jackets MTO in any fabrics all year round at any of our stores.

Hi, I'm wearing one in black linen. Regarding wool, I think it's ok for Hong Kong, too. I would mention though: summer safaris are usually unlined so if the wool fabric is very light then the entire garment might feel a little too insubstantial. I like linen for summer safaris because it's rigid and wears well unlined plus you can throw it in the washing machine.
