Tupac wasn't a "gangster", that word by its self is too trivial to define a man of his magnitude. Tupac was a revolutionary, a poet, a leader, son of a panther, fearless, talented, and had knowledge well beyond his years. So anybody trying to hang their hat on being a gangster is merely just a thug with no direction in life. Tupac was a celestial being the likes of which the world may never see again in the genre of hip hop!

To be fair, 2Pac was too emotional and a little naive. Naive in the sense that he genuinely believed that the street guys he frequently hung with genuinely cared about his political/revolutionary aspirations. Even Live Squad/Young Gun associates admitted that they weren't particularly interested in Pac's activism, they just wanted to get to that entertainment money. Pac had a lot of people around him that shouldn't have been and it was because he wanted the approval/support of guys that were REALLY active in the streets.

@@dugnice to further his big project The biggest obstacle was the street guy He was targeting them. They decide what happens I do same ...but with 10 steps backs or social distance mentality

Pacs downfall was just rolling with cats that weren’t as solid as him. As far as him being gangster, he wasn’t but he was a real one/stand up guy. Just those gangbanging dudes didn’t respect his gangster because they were born in it and they felt like pac didn’t start being hard til he was signed he was just a rapper to them

I agree with you to an extent. Pac got mixed up with darker and more street hardened forces than himself willingly because to me he was rebelling from his panther/drama school upbringing (he felt that his mother ending up on crack was a travesty the panthers shouldn't have let happen and he suffered a lot of fucked up circumstances coming up) so he wasn't truly being himself imo. The case he caught and went to jail for is highly debatable too. He brought a lot of the drama he endured on himself. However, he certainly did real shit by way of taking care of his people and I think had he lived he would've grew much more into the beacon of light for his community he was raised to be. He was only 25 and was still fucking up the great responsibility placed on his shoulders. He said a million times that his life wasn't easy. Let's try and view our heroes with a 360° view and a little more empathy. The idolatry created from the hype machine designed to make money creates idealized images doesn't tell the more human truth in my eyes.

How wasn't he a gangsta, he took care of his family and didn't snitch. What more do you need to be considered a gangsta?
@adamkumi71223 жыл бұрын
@@OnlyUknow2 I’m sorry no disrespect but pac wasn’t gangster at all. He was an entertainer. Yes he took care of his family and didn’t snitch that’s real one/ stand up guy shit. A gangster is a hitta someone that wakes up everyday ready to go the field and put in work everyday. He didn’t start his life putting in work. Orlando Anderson was being investigated for multiply homicides and had been down with his set. Pac went to death row because they were the only ones that could hold him down the way he needed to be. Pac was a loyal dude but he underestimated how gangster the gangbanging shit gets and that’s why he got murked

Tupac was greater than any gangster image. Him not being a gang member means nothing. He was greater than those street boys who only knew gangbanging and had no ambitions beyond the streets.

I'm so glad you laid out the definition of a gangsta.... John Gotti never shot anyone. Gangsta means you truly handle your business and stand by your word. Gangsta don't mean murder.

Yeah hands down that was a gangster move in Atlanta . I mean you pull out and bust on two off duty cops( unknowingly) over somebody you don’t even know but who was obviously in distress? That’s gangster to me , heroism as well very heroic move. Tupac was a real one!
