No cameras,no cell phones, minimal police presence…the 80’s and 90’s were a wild time. No such thing as an internet beef…it was real and you had to face it head on.

Things were a lot more authentic back then. If Suge did that Source Awards speech now people would think it was an internet skit or something. All that coastal crap would get shut down REAL FAST now cause people would find you, torture you on camera and put it out for the world to see. A lot of people got lucky they pulled those stunts in the 20th century.

I know people want to believe Suge was some sort of fake thug, but its hard to take some of these stories being true with regards to Suge being a pushover. But lets put some objectivity in this discussion. The guy was 6'5, 300 pound monster with 100s of Pirus behind him so its hard to imagine the likes of Gipp, Daz, Snoop who in comaprison are scrawny little men are putting it on him in a time where Suge was moving around like Thanos. If this story is to be true, then why didnt other people try it with Suge knowing that someone like Gipp can stand up to him? btw im talking about the Suge Knight from the 90s, not the one from the mid 00s where his power was waning. Even the Master P story, where P apparently told Suge to get moving from LA lol but ends up paying Suge / Death Row to buy out Snoops contract... Everyones got a heroic 'I stood up to Suge' story when the man is now a shadow of himself and hes staring at 4 walls but where was all this talk when the man out and about?Genuinely, where was all the bravado talk?

9mm bullets can humble a 6’5”, 300-pound man and all his goons. Simple and plain, not everyone operates in fear. There are stories of others who stood up to him and took an L and there are people who got the W, but in both instances there was a person who didn’t operate out of fear…

Goodie Mobb was far from "hood " them dudes spoke wisdom/knowledge on their albums. They were the total opposite of "hood " they were against being "ghetto" or "rachett" there was a song on their second album Still Standing. Where one of the members were talking at the end of the song and said. Pick up the trash in the middle of the street amd sidewalk. And make our community look better than what it is. And you wonder why them white folks they we're lazy as as a people. Cause we don't take care of our community. It obsolete blew my mind when he said that. I have never heard a rapper say it in that way. You always hear rappers who speak knowledge, to tell people to stop slinging drugs to our people or even the kids to help them sell the drugs.
