If you are considering getting one of these airbrushes I have an affiliate link that gives me a little financial kickback without you having to pay more. Its not something I'd usually do but as I'm saving for a trip to the Nats in the USA I thought I'd give it a go. www.gaahleri.com/?ref=lpjmodels

Just watched this video of your review of Gaalheria 39 and 98 air brushes. First would like to thank you for an honest review. I believe it was an honest review. I have a couple of the Gaalheria sir brushes for 12 months or more now. The GHAD-68 and Brabatoes Rex Swallowtail. For me they are a step up in quailty and performance. They are also more advanced technically speaking than my old Badger 200 which is a single action siphon feed air brush. My painting has vastly improved, especially derail an camouflage painting. Im also extremely happy with Gaalheria as a company. I had no failures with my AB but there was delay issues with shipping, the company even though this wasnt their fault was very responsive to my emails and concerns. Are they any better than high end AB, probably not. But for me and my hobby they work just fine. Anyway thats my 2 bits. Thank you again.

I agree with your comments - I'm one of these people who Ghaaleri also sent a number of airbrushes to for free, but I did tell them that any use of the products and comments on them in the videos would be honest opinions seeing as no money has changed hands and it isn't a sponsorship. Like you, I've been trying them out for a while without making any hard thoughts on them yet just so I can give a true reflection of them. On the whole I find the ones I've tried generally ok to use, being a bit more forgiving with a less than intense cleaning regime

The only thing I have found is the needles need a polish before use, after that they work just as good as my old Eclipse which I since sold due to needle prices. I prefer their mobius line but the Ghaad 39 has the .5 which I love for priming and base coating.

Thanks for a good thorough review. I was pleased to hear you say that you had used the airbrushes for sometime before giving the review. Gaahleri have been dishing these out to a number of youtubers to give reviews so they are obviously keen to create a name for themselves. I think you are the only one to have used them before giving the review rather than a quick squirt out of the box. For a cheaper airbrush they seem to work well and if you are still not 100% committed to the hobby this is a good buy.

Thanks for another honest review. I purchased the 39 version earlier last year following your comments at that time. I am very happy with the Gaahleri airbrushes, the only issue I had was with a particular primer (Black from Green Stuff World), that always dried up in the airbrush and was blocking the flow, this happened no matter which brand of airbrush I used so it was a paint issue. Great little unit and looking forward to many happy years of use.

Nice to see a thoughtful review after a proper test period unlike some of the hyperbole out there a couple months ago.

Thanks for leaving this comment. Good thing it was near the top, within a full scroll wheel spin. Otherwise, based on the start of the video that made it look like "Long term review..." was going to mean taking it out of the box and a 1/4oz. of random paint swipes on a sheet of copy paper, I was going to leave thinking it's yet another click bait titled video. Thanks.

I bought their Mobius 0.2 a few months ago and like it quite well. Gaahleri sent me an updated trigger at no charge (the original trigger would open the air if you pulled back the trigger with out pressing down on it which is a technique to get splatter.) They have great customer service and respond to emails very quickly. I like the Mobius 0.2 so much I recently ordered the Mobius 0.3 from them.
@lpjmodels5 ай бұрын
They were meant to send out a movies for review but didn't hear anything since, have heard good things, the customer service is good, it's what's missing from most budget airbrush brands

I bought one of these recently. The card with details about the test process is still in the packaging, but the reverse is now blank. It appears they've stopped printing the spray tests. 🙃

I had to quickly replace my borked cheapo priming brush and I was recommended a more expensive Ghaaleri, however, due to the timing I had to get the GHAD-39, but I was very very impressed and I agree with your assessment. Great vid.

i got the ghad 39 from Amazon. The 0.5mm nozzle had no hole in it so they sent a replacement nozzle. First time I used the airbrush it was great but since then both the 0.35mm and 0.5mm clog almost instantly and require a deep clean. I also get blowback on both so much so they've blew the lid off.

Hi love your review, I've got a Iwata Neo 0.35 but having problems with varnish. So do you think the GHAD-39 with its 0.5 needle would be better? So far since getting back in to the hobby Varnish is the one thing I have struggled with.
@moneygangrepp49 күн бұрын
I had the same issue with both my iwata and h&s. I learned that the 0.7 needle airbrush works better as far as clear coats and varnish go. Anything 0.5 and smaller is an issue unless you have a hell of a cleaning regime.

You got another subscriber, nice work and review. I just got a GHAD-39 here on Amazon UK for £25.59 !! thanks to a special offer and additional promo 20% off. Hope I got one of the good batch. Have you tried using the 'brush without a paint cup installed and just placing small amounts of paint in the body cavity for when you just need a little paint ? I seem to remember a H&S airbrush I used a few years ago worked well like this although that had a small part that screwed in instead of the paint cups to cover up the threads for ease of cleaning. Rgds Rob.

I received a ghad-39 for Christmas and after a few teething issues of it back flowing (repeated nozzle cleaning sorted it) I'm now really happy with it. I ended up getting a mobius 0.2 which is also nice to use. I'd say if you're a H&S or Iwata user you won't be blown away but anyone coming from a fengda/no name will be impressed.

I think you're right, the market isn't those with boutique high end guns, but those a little more invested in the hobby than beginners, there's always room for more tools in my opinion. I'm glad you got yours sorted, maybe residue was left behind after the factory test ?
@DavidBSmith31909 ай бұрын
@@lpjmodels I think it was me as initially it was okay. I find drop in nozzles are more convenient but not as forgiving. Once I made sure the rear of the nozzle and end of the airbrush body were 100% clean it was okay and has been perfect since. One thing I did note was the o ring on the body basically disintegrated after a short time. I went through the original and spare and ended up just using some PTFE tape in its place.

Gaahleri makes really great modelling airbrushes, they won't detail like an H&S can but it's over a hundred dollars cheaper too lol. I have the Mobius .2 and .3 I use in tandem and gave my Infinity CR a well deserved vacation though for really fine cockpit details I still bring Her out. I have the GHAD-39 and I since sold my Iwata eclipse as it does the same quality work and is far cheaper to maintain, Iwata needles are a complete ripoff price wise. I will say this between Gaahleri and NeoEco SJ-83 you only need to polish the needles before using to get great out of the box performance, grab some Flitz, polish it up and off you go, no looking back.

Thanks for a thoughtful, longer term, test, useful to know✌️👍💜😊 Ive subscribed - Im a long in the tooth railway modeller (as opposed to a retail therapy box buyer - although RTR has its place, no value judgements made), but I have built military models, aircraft, RC cars, boats and 'planes etc too👍😊 Itll be interesting to see what a year or so of use brings. BTW where do you purchase your paints from please - do they spray well with the H&S 0.15 needle/nozzle set🤔🤞 Thanks again ✌️👍😊

I now own one GHAD 39 and was suitably impressed by it for the prices it cant be beat and is the best air brush ive used and shits all over my Badger Renegade Khrome airbrush. It feels nice in the hand and sprays very well is very responsive and atomises the paint well. I dont own an iwata or Harder and steinbeck brush and most likely never will as they are too expensive in Australia and out of my price range . Its yhe brst airbrush ive used and for $77 Australian deliverd to your door cant be beat and thats about $50 cheaper than my next best air brush my Dragon air brush from SMS andcway cheaper than my Badger which was about $200 dearer .

I was not impressed with these airbrushes. You can get a GSI Creos for less than what the 98d costs.. Not to mention the backstory of this company is shady to say the least.

Fair comment. I only found the SQ for an equivalent price here on air-craft.net All the proper models are above £100

The newer Mobius airbrushes fix the restrictive nozzle problem, but bring their own issues. Certainly a viral marketing campaign they’ve engaged in, but at the end of the day nothing special.

Sparmax blow these brushes out of the water here in Europe for cheaper. (Except the 39) and the spare parts are very affordable. Build quality of a Sparmax is up there with the Iwatas, H&S, Creos while there is very little difference in performance (including trigger response and atomization) until you get to the top of the range H&S, Iwata and GSI Creos. And they are owned by Iwata. How people are sucked into buying an overpriced Chinese airbrush is beyond me, although sending free airbrushes to all these influencers had a lot to do with it.
@lpjmodelsАй бұрын
I have owned a sparmax sp35, and the quality is fairly similar to be fair. And I got some free airbrushes, yep, but it doesn't mean I have been told what to say. In fact the feedback in the video enacted a small change in the company, they don't seem to provide printed spray tests anymore. The cups still need a redesign though.

BLIMEY! The 39 is better than the 89. I bought the 89 thinking it better than those below it. I have experienced some tip dry issues on up-close detail work (mottling, fine lines). Cannot always be certain what is at fault; operator, tool or paint. Thanks for posting this video
