I am a foster failure for the same reasoning you have. I thought "Nobody is going to take care of this dog like I can." I only had him for 3 1/2 beautiful years. He left this earth 5 months ago at sixteen years old from cancer, but I'd do it all over again in return for the love and laughter that that dog brought to my family 💙

It is sad, however you shouldn't be quick to judge, we don't know the story of why these dogs were surrendered. Maybe the owners died, were sick, became homeless or something. Not every surrender is done for shitty reasons love 😉

When I saw how the first one immediately started, kissing Lee all over his face, it nearly broke me, imagining if he would've kissed the face of the person injecting him with a needle to put him down. Beautiful brindle mixes, maybe Dutch Shepherds, but they almost look like greyhounds, maybe from racetracks in Mexico? In any case, both so friendly and sweet, it's a shame to think they would've been PTS. Four minutes??? I had to answer the door, & when I came back, the segment was over. Some of us like the experience of visiting with those animals when they come in, but rarely get to see them again. I really miss my pets, but at 77 yrs, I've decided . have any more pets. I was recently hospitalized for a week followed by a week in rehab to help me with walking. If I'd had pets it would've been another level of difficulty to deal with. Though I really miss having pets, it wouldn't be good for me or them, long-term.So, thanks for what you guys are doing, but please give us viewers & sponsors more time to see how the rescued pets are doing, too. ❤️

I understand you very well. I'm also 77 and have had 10 dogs in the last 35 years, all Rescued. We have downsized and have also decided not to get any more dogs because of our age but miss them so much. I'm English born but have lived in Spain for 53 years. When my daughter bought her little house with land, she rescued two big dogs on the kill list plus another Beagle who had been caged most of its life, so we can interact with them when we go. The Asher house brings me so much joy.❤

OMG That’s exactly the way my granddaughter’s dog and I ‘interact’. (read the word kiss and cuddle for interact). I live with my daughter and son in law and daughter-granddaughter is 19 and has moved out to go to college and her dog has stayed-she is soooo loving and people pleasing.
