There is another channel called the farm they are a family from Australia that use to have a doggy day care but stopped to do rescue work the dad is a dog trainer from the army, anyway my elderly dad loves to watch that channel it makes him so happy you should give it a watch

As someone from Texas I applaud Lee reaching out to help these lucky pups. We have pockets of areas throughout our state that would rip out your heart, for both dogs and cats. The only peace is I live in the capitol where we have an OUTSTANDING A. Pets Alive organization bending over backwards daily to give the troubled animals rescue, treatment, fostering, and adoption to central Texas folks. Lee is one of the angels in this wonderful movement. Thank you!

A small independent shelter in Illinois gets delivery of animals from a high kill shelter in Kentucky. It seems like there should be a session with adopters prior to seeing the animals for adoption to inform about breeds that might be better suited for them. And what it means to adopt certain dogs who need to go to groomers because of their type of fur. And training classes for people and their dog. On my wish list is more affordable vet care and pet food. Perhaps more people would adopt another if they could afford it. I belong to a feral cat organization so get spay/neutered and microchip for ferals at a discount. Sometimes they distribute cat food donated to them. And they are happy to answer questions which is invaluable when you have a scare in the colony you care for.

I always see so many people comment that what Lee does is so wonderful ... Please know that you do not need to have your own sanctuary like the Asher House to volunteer time or donate money to a sanctuary or shelter. Consider signing up just to take the dogs out for a walk. Shelters can be incredibly stressful and getting away from the constant barking will give a dog hope. You can volunteer for a few hours a month or a few hours a week. Anything is appreciated! ❤🐾 #AdoptDontShop

Or foster if you can. Temporary housing until a rescue can place an animal. So many rescues here in Texas(and I’m sure everywhere) need fosters until an animal can be transported.

I once heard of a woman who loved cats but had developed an allergy and couldn't have them at home anymore so had to surrender hers, BUT she still volunteered at a shelter still and had interaction with cats and other animals. 😢

I love the fact that when you introduce your dogs to new dogs Roger is always one of the first to meet them. He is such a huge dog that might frankly scare me but he is so sweet to new dogs particularly puppies. Roger is a sweetheart and you have to love him.

I recently moved to Texas from California. I was disappointed to find that dogs are treated horribly here and that "dumping" is a big thing. Because of it the shelters and rescues are full and many dogs die. It's so sad but it would be great if we had someone like you here to set up a sanctuary or many sanctuaries!

I lived in areas of the south Texas ranch areas where animals are routinely dumped and abandoned to die in the brush. A sanctuary could be opened every 2 miles but that won't solve the problem when you have a mentality and philosophy by the folks that deems animals as nothing more than something to be discarded at will. Education and strong laws should be considered instead.

@@vilmalaurel8833 Unfortunately, the willfully ignorant reign supreme in this state and the law will not change to help animals. Hell, they won't even change the laws here to help people. It's sad. I've taken in 6 dogs already and can't take in any more so every time I find a dumped dog I get it to a shelter or rescue but am broken hearted that I can't keep it myself. One of my rescues that I kept was literally thrown from a speeding truck on my street when he was just 6 weeks old. I can't handle the cruelty of people here

Yes, They throw kittens out of a moving vehicle...People make me sick! I have 7 fur babies that I absolutely adore. They came from heartache to being loved and cared for. If I could financially afford one of these pups, the red colored one that had the pink harness vest on would be perfect. She looks so much like my childhood dog that was called Ginger. I absolutely love Matilda, but I know that Lee wouldn't let her go for anything in the world. She is perfect! Every time I see her, my heart just melts.
