My Stepdaughter has Ceres In Taurus 6th house Conjunct DESCENDANT by 5 degrees and Ceres squares the SUN Neptune Saturn Chiron and Venus!!. It pisses me off how she EXPECTS AND WANTS EVERYBODY TO SERVE HER. All the time.. it gives her Leo Stellium (Mercury Sun Saturn VENUSrx On Regulus) a bad look.. I used to think Leo Stelliums all acted like this..also my NESSUS is Conjunct her Sun and her Pluto is Conjunct my Neptune Jupiter Mercury conjunction (26°-1°sag/cap/galactic center/gate of Gods) so we bump heads a LOT

Long, long time astrologer here: after Black Moon Lilith I truly needed to draw a boundary if it came to planets & points I work with so I wasn’t really open to the asteroids. However after watching a lecture given by Demetra I seriously start digging into them and it in particular were the name asteroids which totally blew me away. If it wasn’t so personal and in my case truly painful I would have told you the story here, but it is. Anyway they are amazing. Just found out, however, I have my Guinevere on top of Johny Depps Vertex (lol) my north node on his Venus and his north node on my Vertex all within a 1 degree orb. No story there, yet. But who knows...😀🤔👻 Great podcast BTW, thanks! 👍

Wow, I love her talk for a 1000 reasons especially when thinking about the moon as the mother and Venus or Aphrodite as the a lover because this sets up that madonna-whore complex and split that we see (and struggle with) in limited patriarchal thinking. Yet when we start investigating more ancient or pre patriarchal archetypes and human history, we can include a more complete pantheon of the feminine, narratives on how we can live our lives or certainly the anima can manifest in all of us. I think often of Pluto or Hades not in its masculine form but in its lady death or feminine form that we see in many pre Colombian cultures in the Americas, such as Coatlique, in India and Asia as Kali, or in the Sumerian tradition that Dianne Wolkstein and Sam Kramer talk about in Inanna Queen of Heaven and Earth, Inanna's sister Erishkigal is the Queen of the Damned, Queen of the Underworld or Lady Death. Here too many significant asteroids make clear one's purpose or path that a masculine narrative tried to quell. Fascinating that as women recover these feminine narratives women became a central force, authors and recipients of astrological knowledge, and also a recipient of its back lash from scientism.

This is definitely a topic in Astrology that needs more attention. To my astonishment, this is what I discovered: the asteroid named exactly as my name is in EXACT degree conjunction with my Ascendant and my father's namesake Asteroid is in EXACT degree square to my Ascendant. Shocking enough? I placed this Asteroid, which is named exactly like me, into my son's chart and I was speechless. My son's Moon is in EXACT degree conjunction with my namesake Asteroid. If this is not enough proof that we come here and choose our life, I do not what it is...

I was there at UAC in San Diego in '86! It was my first astrology conference! Demetra was everywhere. She terrified me, gorgeous, whirling, hippie goddess. I went home empowered by knowing that Juno and Pallas conjunct my descendant meant I deserved better than the ill-mannered cowboy I had married (Ceres in the 8th) and moved to town to be a professional astrologer (Chiron in the 2nd). Yeah, you could say that asteroids stand out in my chart!

The image of the asteroids as “space gravel” combined with their high specificity - brings the concept of GRANULARITY to mind- which I love! Also- My mom says that when she was pregnant with me she was trying to figure out a name and heard a booming voice that said “Athena.” Just recently looked it up and it turns out I’ve got Pallas just a few degrees from my AC in the 1st.

Love that this got released this year! When i was a child i read a book (from my parents shelf) about the story of kassandra, i was obsessed with her and even started calling myself kassandra. Last year i didn’t only find out that the asteroid kassandra is conjunct my ascendant in sagittarius but also that the book of kassandras stories was passed from my grandaunt to my aunt who are both my archetypal guides. I nearly forgot to check this episode out again, only remembering when (almost desperately) looking for something to listen to at work. Last weekend was defined by (for whatever reason) not thinking astrology was accurately describing my natal 5th completely, remembering some astroids where there to find juno and ceres in the 5th Capricorn. Vesta and Pallas in 4th Sagittarius. Fills in missing pieces, I did remember juno but I’m not familiar enough with them to completely understand them. Demetra is probably the only astrologer I’d trust and highlighted a book to read later on the topic. I wanted to keep things simple so I had a 🙄 (sigh) moment with it. They absolutely work though. Another (just now) by accident was seeing last weekend that dark moon lilith is conjunct my natal Jupiter 11th (separating) which is hilarious due to not liking Jupiter or 11th house significations. Lilith is one that I am not that impressed with interpretations, I do plan to read Demetra’s book on it because I do think I know exactly what influence that had in my natal. Juno definitely works, I looked at aspects; especially sign based. Ceres, I think I know exactly what that is because chiron in modern astrology (which would be taurus 8th in quadrant) accurately describes some things (not others) that collapse in traditional which are accurately described perfectly (taurus 9th). Knew it was still tied to Venus, ceres fills that gap more accurately. It isn’t personal, but 5th house somehow helps others. Pallas and Vesta, I need to understand better. I’m fighting off impulse buying the book on dark moon lilith and I know I’ll lose that by tonight. Demetra actually touched on a subject about psychological astrology and something mentioned about a debate on what is/isn’t appropriate. To me, an astrologer can bring up topics appearing in a chart, just not offer remedies per se. Hard to explain.. I’m still reading a specific book on Jung’s Transference and already know there’s a small similarity that his view is the psychiatrist only brings things out in the open for the patient to work through themselves. An astrologer brings up information/questions for the client in some cases. Ultimately it’s for the client, not the astrologer, to go further. I can be touchy about ideas being put in astrology which is also difficult to explain. Demetra brings some of that up indirectly. I like cross referencing interpretations with Indian astrology while knowing it’s a different culture, interpretations will be different in other ways. Some cultures some significations can be different like mars expressions (psychological) may be personal in some charts, transferred into others. Ancient myth is of their time, they change culturally. Like when Jung describes anima/animus, it’s often used generally by cultural time while also saying it’s not ever as clean an archetype (example, Jung hated dream books because just colors means something different to different people, it has to be individually analyzed). Some fall into collective, but general motifs. It also clicked why a model Jung drew of a psyche model appeared to have anima animus as 4th/10th, they’re not sexual but can (by square) cause friction in 1st/7th. Good times. There’s now 3-4 books by George I’ll have to read. (Sigh…) 😂 sigh at 🪐♍️.

Great interview! Thank you. I have Juno in ♑️ Capricorn right between Saturn and Jupiter in 3rd whole sign house, Pallas Athene in early ♒️ then, Vesta conjunct Venus in ♒️ / whole sign 4th house and Ceres conjunct Chiron also in 4th..definitely relate to many of the issues mentioned.and Lilith in ♋️ in 8th house. I bought Demetra’s book, Asteroid Goddesses” years ago and first started learning about the main asteroids then. Only recently after utilizing the whole sign house system (as Saturn in ♒️ has been transiting my 4th) does a lot more things make sense for me. Of course both house systems work. I’ve also been getting much more into asteroids thanks to many astrologers using them! Thanks again for this great interview! 🥰✨🙏🍂✨🍁

All the asteroids are very relevant in my chart, and I look forward to dive deeper into them. Too many stories to share here. I will comment on vesta though. In my understanding it is using sexual energy in a sacred way - for healing purposes as she described. Awakening the kundalini. This can be done either physically like she described with the vestal virgin doing sacred service to cleanse the soldiers coming home from war. Or, the sexual energy is lifted and transmuted into other healing forms, such as prayer, compassion. It is a misunderstanding to believe that celibacy is an abandonment of sexual energy. That is not possible as there are no distinction between life force/life energy/sexual energy, it is the same. It is what you do with it, you can use it directly or transmute and channel it through other endevours. It is pure creation and healing force, and the placement of Vesta shows you where and how you have this power within your physical vessel.

Good episode, I really do wish there was more emphasis on the astroids even in terms of stronger descriptions. I actually never noticed (until it was mentioned) that chiron is the only one that’s utilized enough to actually be a normalized setting. Some calculators just have an on/off on all but chiron does tend to be either separate or on by default. Just because of the recent 2022 Virgo forecast and I pointed out the odd influence of Neptune in pisces isn’t really with the 7th house but creating disillusionment in my 11th cancer with Jupiter.. this has a lot to do with virgo Saturn conjunct Mercury so I’ll blame any misinterpretations on astrology.. (lol) I don’t mean it at all disrespectfully, it’s a general pondering related to a transit. I’m finding some mythologies mismatched which is probably accidental while also useful; I think we look at history too much from modern perspectives which is most often fine while others accidental inferences are made with accidental consequences. In 100 years teaching the past 6 years all that’s going to be focused on is the worst parts, like the tiki torch mob where it’ll be used to paint the entire population as being part of these movements when (in truth) a majority was watching it astounded at what we are seeing. With history, it’s so fragmented all anyone can do is make assumptions where my disillusionment is that it really appear that historically there could have been matriarchies and more equality that spiraled out of control; I wonder if definitive evidence existed that proved the theory that very early civilizations that appear to be matriarchies that turned to patriarchy due to society collapse over disease and famine would be rejected overall because it doesn’t fit into a narrative that addresses modern issues/problems with institutional sexism. Mythology seems to support both equality and possibly goddesses being primarily more important until mythological revolutions happened. The governing systems get overthrown. It’s just something I started to wonder because Athena was actually the only god to be born without a mother and not conceived other than divine thought who was beyond desire where it was stated her masculinity made her undesirable which is more likely something done in slander. It’s also unknown if the important women in philosophy and arts had their histories erased almost completely like many cultures did through things like Christian purging. Reading early gnostic texts where Mary was equal to Jesus which was erased and Mary turned into a prostitute as opposed to being co-leader inferred to be his wife.. there are a lot of questions our modern minds can only assume to be actually true. Misogynistic attitudes today are definitely a problem, but I do find it peculiar that the goddesses are so much more interesting than the gods where often the goddesses have significant less flaws than said gods who are always grotesquely flawed to repulsive. It has to be intentionally and doesn’t fit the narrative men (on their own) created these myths like Zeus being a womanizer and rapist. Athens wasn’t named Aries. It’s a disillusionment of questioning normalized accepted possible myths looking for a less hostile/divisive view that’s more cooperative as opposed to painting villainous stereotypes. Strict mono sexuality is more modern, many say monogamy is also a more modern concept. The Neptune transit through pisces has shown the horrors of divisive certainty and strict categorization which is showing a danger of extremism that can cause society to collapse by unwillingness to cooperate. My screen name is from a Barker novel that declares the multiverse was created by multiple goddesses then man came to be born who (through their corrupt essence) birth the one god corrupting the said multiverse and the purpose of Christ was to murder that god to return the world to the goddesses. I still agree, I’m just getting to where I’m not completely on board with the narrative that men by nature are inherently evil. 😂 there’s no evidence to support it as ALL but men being conditioned to be misogynistic through many/most religious and ideological narratives that may be more modern than engulfing all of human history. Dipping into mythology I’m amazing how much more amazing the goddesses are to the gods that are egocentric unless …. A goddess is able to mature them. I think Poseidon was like that, I’m pretty sure a goddess almost destroyed Zeus. Nemesis is my favorite goddess so far not just because of the astrology lot. Great episode, I can easily see male astrologers dumping on astroids just because they’re named after goddesses and I hope it’s looked into if scorpio is actually a better fit for feminine mars because I agree she’s a better Mars expression than aries. Aries gets mars all to himself which isn’t quite right.

Absolutely concur about the mystery of how the asteroids work... A man in whom I am deeply interested (and who is reciprocally interested in me) has my last name conjunct his natal Venus at 27 Cancer, and in my chart his surname appears at 27 Cancer. My Aphrodite and Union are also conjunct his natal Venus. His Amor is conjunct my North Node. His Aphrodite is conjunct my progressed Ascendant at the time we met. His Hypnos and Lovejoy are conjunct my Sun (and his Progressed Sun is partile conjunct my Natal Sun at the time we met). My Cupid and Valentine are conjunct his Uranus. His DNA is conjunct my Mercury. His Psyche is conjunct my Venus. His Cupid and Angel are conjunct my Uranus. My Reiki is conjunct his Uranus. The asteroid bearing his first name is in my chart conjunct my South Node. The asteroid bearing my first name is conjunct Chiron and Jupiter in his chart. The house I live in, which is a co-op / commune has a name, an unusual name. Turns out there's an asteroid with its exact name, and lo, that asteroid appears in my Natal chart conjunct my Venus, and in his chart conjunct my Saturn. (I've noticed, from observation and from listening to anecdotes, that this house has produced numerous love unions, marriages. It's a theme. It's the house energy.) Guess what? When I had coffee with him recently, I learned that he lived in this same co-op several years ago, and, his bedroom was the bedroom that is currently mine. You literally can't make this stuff up. Almost all of the above conjunctions are exact, partile, btw, and the few that are not are 2 degrees, with one or two at 3 degrees. A psychic told me that he and I were harmoniously married in a past life. All I can say is the asteroids are mystifying, amazing.

Saturn as an exalted planet in Libra, day chart and a chart ruler (aq. rising) has strong influence on my life. Now it is in my 12th house and I am going through cruel psychological period. This is my first introduction to Ceres. I looked up positions of Ceres on Cafe Astrology. I don't really know much about this site, but they had a table. It had times and dates but no degrees. I have had an incredible life but as I scanned the entries I noticed thru my early years that it hit my grand trine (air) every time I was in a different location. It's probably still doing it since at heart I am a gypsy. haha. So here's a list of Ceres in my early life. 1943 Gemini Birth Born Jan 22, 1943 Haverhill, Ma. 1:40pm Conjunct Asc, Saturn, Uranus and now part of my Grand Trine in Air 1945 Enters Libra 4/27- - Age 2 -Hits my Grand Trine MC, Sun, Mercury, Venus in Aquarius, Trine Asc, Saturn, Uranus in Gemini, Conjunct Neptune in Libra. - I become a ward of the state. Contract polio and spend the next year in an incubator. No lasting effects. The next year put in an orphanage. 1948 Enters Gemini again 4/23 - Age 5 - first foster home. Raped, with no spiritual, emotional, physical lasting effects. 1949 Enters Libra - 8/28- Six and 7 yrs old. Second foster home. Kept in the basement, used for work. No lasting effects. 1951 Enter Aquarius 1/24 - Ages 8 to 16 Last and best foster home. Hope this is all valid after typing it all out! haha. I can't figure out the path of Ceres. Seems like it hits everywhere at random. Let me know if anything interesting pops up. I love your podcast and only found out about it three weeks ago. You seem to have the perfect temperament to be a vehicle for this venue. All the best. .

I’m clearly two years late to this episode, still, I gotta say, I’m barely convinced by the outer planets in charts, so adding in the asteroids has been a big question mark for me. I go back and forth with adding in and removing Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. I just haven’t figured out how to work with them in a systematic way. There has to be some kind of internal logic for me to be on board, and I haven’t found that with the Outers and the asteroids yet.

First, I started noticing Venus is transiting through virgo and noticed a lot of influential feminists have Venus in virgo. (Skimming: “weird, you can tell..) There’s a lot to learn from planets in detriment and fall, it’s not a criticism by any stretch. Due to checking books, I made a minor mistake where BLACK moon lilith is conjunct Jupiter in 11th cancer. I did noticed astroid lilith is conjunct MC natal. So, scales tip where I put aside 2 books on lilith mythologically. Being already familiar with lilith, not completely liking modern pop views on the astrological significations, and myth, I’m pretty certain I know black moons impact natal. (Astroid, I’d need to research) In the Neptune episode I listed off the Saturn square Neptune aspects, later I pointed out interest in Jung wasn’t so much authoritative as related to that square. I looked later, Jung did appear (if chart is correct) had that square as a lot of people do. A part left out is likely showing in black moon, if the chart is correct Jung had an 11th placement. The astroid stories, most I can’t tell in a comment. I can touch on black moon (not astroid 😞 yet) where I did (and still do) cut off 11th house significations slowly reintegrating them. I’m the type who gets X amount of friends/follows then starts cutting about 60-70%. Part is related to Saturn/Neptune where I quit speaking to friends even spending time with them bc I wasn’t listened to so there was no point. I’d listen, maybe agreeably guide, but I wasn’t able to chime in. Later, it became more about feeling a need to filter to avoid swarms of attacks on perception even though those perceptions ended up true. I could reference several cheesy 80’s/90’s info-commercial musicals on the dangers of peer pressure. Lilith (dark moon) may represent an anima related to individuation if the myth is taken into account. I wouldn’t take it literal, but George has a point in terms of religion. Goddesses existed in the Old Testament where some are not completely erased, women didn’t want to join a monotheistic religion worshipping one male god. As with ritual, over time, it’s about repetition so the goddesses get removed who turn to demons. A lot of modern religion today is repetitive interpretation to reinforce an opinion as fact, texts are Rorschach tests. (Quick search, not very scientific) Says, alone, over 200 denominations of Christianity exist simultaneously. My point is, Jung is more of a reference personally as opposed to an authority. More like a non existent friend comparing notes and building more complete understanding in different ways. Being pushed to read Jung by friends in psychological was actually starting to state things where they assumed I studied Jung before. Then, recognizing my attitude by how I was treated where they thought it’d be positive while also seeing how he was publicly smeared. Using traditional techniques are accurate, but there are things I feel are stretches. Astroids and even the lilith points may add more color. Like, Jupiter cancer 11th, it’s an “outcast”. Or, has been. I don’t have many difficult “aspects”. Houses are rough in ways, not insurmountable by any stretch. Astroids and points add sort of hidden difficulties. Fun: was listening to OK Computer (radiohead) pondering why people view it as “prophetic” when it was about that period of time more so than projecting forward. It was probably written during the Saturn/Neptune square. I noticed many people I click with that I shouldn’t have that square with birth years in periods of it. It’s something I may dive into since that’s my era.

As someone who’s lived in Sedona from the time, I was six months old. I have often told people I feel like I’m married to this place. Turns out the asteroid Sedona is in relative close conjunction to my ascendant opposing my Juno in close conjunction to my descendant.. Married to Sedona lol indeed. Wow! Also just to add. I included both asteroids with the name Jared in my chart, which is my name. Turns out the first Jared asteroid is conjunct Sedona in my chart. And the other name, Jared is conjunct my vertex /Uranus.🤯🤯🤯

300 👍 Spot on reading 💯🏁 I have NO problems cut people out who’s not for real loving, use the love I give to them from clean pure heart energy 💗 Playing games with me. That’s not possible. With me. I can be a strategic person too if I choose it. I’m done with strategic. I ascended. I don’t choose strategic. I can be ruthless if I need to. I did the work needed to do in cooperation a chess player in love. I realized he doesn’t got the - Crowned Royalty - energy I’m in 🗡️👑🦁 I don’t blame him either.. It’s all a matter of development within We all are the teacher & students .. doesn’t matter how much awakened we are.. the soul journey must go on.. NOT the show.. That’s All 💕

Dear Demetra and Chris. Question 1 = if Hellenistic astro inherited almost of Babylonian knowlege, greek should have name planets with greek god names : Venus = Aphrodite, Uranus = Ouranos, Pluto = Hadès, Sun = Helios, Lilith = Hecate, etc..... ? Question 2 = I have Haumea in leo 1st house in sideral chart and also ive notice asteroid ElKeid but i dont find infirmation about it or not good feeling about it, do you have idea of this influence in 1st house ?

Hi Chris, I'd like to know more about getting a degree in astrology, what school would you recommend? Your approach is just what i'm looking for, and of course I will take you online course on Hellenistic Astrology, but I wanted to know more about astrology courses in general. What schools has Chris Brennan's approval? lol

Very thought provoking talk! Juno is one degree from my IC in Gemini and I am ruled by jupiter (pieces ascendant). Pallas in my first house. It is funny to have vesta in the fifth. I was quite a large part of the pre metoo era in the academia in my country during my previous Mars profection year (mars in the 9th trining an out of bounds cancerian moon in the 5th, 9th house profection).

Not really... In the horoscope of Prince Charles near Venus (in Libra) are asteroids with similar names, but not identical to those of Camilla Parker: 957-Camelia and 5585-Parks. However, asteroids with identical names to the Duchess of Cornwall (107-Camilla and 5392-Parker, discovered earlier than the above) are in Virgo and Pisces, respectively, and are not connected to Venus or any other. personal planets or angles. Camelia is a different name than Camilla, Parks is different than Parker. There are about 1.5 million asteroids, of which 800,000 have already been discovered and tens of thousands already have names, not only numbers. Statistically speaking, the probability that, out of the tens of thousands of asteroids named, lots of them will reach - BY CHANCE - few important degrees of the 360 degrees of the chart is huge! Such an approach that seeks correlations between asteroid names and aspects of one's life is highly speculative. Some synchronicities may occur, but the method does not seem to bring anything valuable in interpretation. And what do we do with the billions of people whose names are completely different from those of asteroids, because not everybody is American, or has a mythological name?

Vesta representing a female’s autonomy over her body sexually seems very apt for me as I’m on the asexual spectrum and I have Vesta retrograde conjunct my 7th house. Very interesting.

I have Pallas Athena conjunct 3° aqua ascendant. Man does this explain alot. My girlfriend and I were having a conversation and I told her that she came across as being very feminine. And I asked her how I came across and she said you come across as being very strong. And I am physically strong and mentally and I have also not had a great deal of success with finding romantic male partners. That's pretty funny. I won the debate when I was in grade 7 with a bunch of great 8 students. But I had a date for the prom in high school! Lol I have Venus in Pisces conjunct Saturn and sun ruler or my descendant so positive mixed with malefic but chart ruler Saturn and sun ruler of the descendant. The only man I ever had a common law marriage with was Leo sun and ascendant. My Priapus and his sun are both at 9° Leo. He passed away and I am a widow now.

Wow, so many asteroids! The one that was brought to my attention was ceres in 15 degrees Gemini in 5th house, and my mom was Gemini. I feel like that has some meaning I am yet to discover. I like your open discussion of feminism and misogyny. It seems some of the younger people, who are also younger souls, or at least too inexperienced in life to realize it's impact, find this too shameful, or stigmatized, like it isn't anything they can relate to. I was glad for the me too movement, bringing out the sexism in Hollywood that effects everyone, through t.v. and the media, even if just subliminally. And now we have the right rearing iits ugly head in trying to control women, it just seems to have reappeared in a different form. Thanks for a great podcast! Much enjoyed!
