When I first read pretty much everyone on astrology subreddit mentioning this podcast, I thought it was a bit cult like honestly. But no wonder this is the gold standard of astro long form content. Everything from the intro, setting the layout and structure, and the deep dives into the recurring themes in technology, government, military and more is just wonderful. Most outer planet transit videos are just broad archetypes discussions with nothing specific to tie into recurring history cycles but this is exactly how it should be. History doesn't repeat but definitely rhymes. Sitting down for 4 hours straight almost every week is no mean feat. On the point of China's relationship with Aquarius, here's a banger for you - 秦始皇 (Qin Shi Huang), the first emperor of China, was born on February 18, 259 BCE. He had a Sun and Uranus conjunction in Aquarius. And to add on top of that, Empress Wu, the only woman in Chinese history to rule as emperor in her own right, was born on February 17, 624. Another Aquarius Sun.😬

Also, the last dynasty (Qin Dynasty) officially ended on Feb 12, 1912, with Sun Mercury and Uranus in Aquarius, while the last emperor Pu Yi was born on Feb 6, 1906, also Sun, Venus, Mercury and Chiron all in Aquarius.

On the topic of how Aquarius might be related to the Chinese, in general, for some reason. The Chinese Lunar New Year usually falls on the second or third new moon after winter solstice, which coincides with Aquarius new moon. So the Chinese calendar begins on an Aquarius New moon.

Just wanted to add another piece of info I thought was interesting. In Feng Shui (Chinese geomancy), there are period cycles of about 20 years (there are 9 periods, total of 180 years). Period 9 is said to begin on February 5th, 2024 to February 4th, 2044. It roughly coincides with Pluto's time in Aquarius this time.

Thanks for sharing this in free access- the Aquarian way 😊 may I add one piece to the huge puzzle - Nostradamus published his first almanach in 1550. These almanacs contributed to his fame but also to the vulgarisation of astrology -at least in France. By the end of Pluto’s transit he was finishing his main work: Les Prophecies which was to be published in 1555. Also, re China and its connection to Aquarius, funny that the flag is the 5-star flag - like the tarot card The Star which is attached to Aquarius ♒️ Wishing you an amazing transit !

I was waiting to hear about Anne Boleyn! One of THE most influential political figures in Western European history who often goes unrecognized because she’s a woman. (A very controversial one too, for that matter.) No Anne Boleyn, no break with the Catholic Church or formation of the Anglican Church and creation of an independent England. Her direct influence on the matter is often glossed over. She was a brilliant strategist and visionary thinker. ALSO, for all Henry’s desperation for a male heir, no Anne Boleyn means no Queen Elizabeth I. (Who of course was born with Pluto in Aquarius.) It’s not like she didn’t have one hell of a legacy or anything….lol. Anne Boleyn’s marriage to Henry VIII was the first political domino in a chain of events that one day, (a full Pluto cycle later,) builds the foundation for American Democracy and the French Revolution.

I don't know if you've ever heard of the 2050 project: it was started by Stephan Schwartz who conceived of the idea that if you can remote view over distance, you can remote view over time. He started recruiting remote viewers to give their impressions of life in the year of 2050, and what he has seen is that the years between 2040 and 2045 are "the troubles". Something critical happens in that time frame that results in a drastic drop in the population. It could be wars, it could be environmental collapse and resulting famine. Thank you both for setting the stage, by going through the past Plutos in Aquarius time periods. Maybe instead of just waiting for bad shit to happen, we the common folk should be talking about worst case scenarios and insisting on a proactive, functional government. Maybe we could skirt the wars, but what are we going to do with climate refugees? Are you enjoying the freakish weather? It's only going to get worse, the wind storms, the droughts, and the subsequent wild fires. Sorry to rant like this, but we need to realize that when we finally come out of Pluto in Aquarius, it will be, as Chris pointed out, a huge, transformational shift in our society and our lives. From the perspective of dignities, Pluto is exalted in Leo and is in its fall in Aquarius. Could it be that many things that Aquarius has stood for up until now are literally or metaphorically going down in need for a revolution/renewal? Such as collective social forms of behaviour and groups, leaderships in politics, in- and output of technology? For example, could it lead to the fall and the death of current aquarian technologies, such as the internet and social media, and the rebirth of new ones? The way we interact, form groups and followings could totally shift, mark the death of previous collectives, and bring up new ones most of us have not even yet imagined, but aquarian influenced people are trying to bring to power? Will there be more and more extreme revolting in society that compulsively lead to the destruction of previous political doctrines and new revolutionary leaders arise like the phoenix from the ashes? Or in politics, could it be that we will experience extreme global power shifts, for instance in India or Russia, where the equilibrium of power goes in the first decade of Pluto in Aquarius to extremes only to be renewed again in the latter? Is it a 20 years time full of upheavals leading to revolutions as did the French Revolution happen in 1789 when Pluto was in Aquarius? At any rate I assume that whatever aquarian energies can no longer serve its purpose will come in touch with the extreme powerful energies of Pluto, and not just yearn for, but need and will create a transformation, and even though Pluto/Hades in mythology stands for the underworld, in a contemporary context it will perhaps destroy many former aquarian principles and go into a complete new, different direction. It’s also interesting that in the first year of Pluto in Aquarius in 2025, Pluto will form a trine to Uranus, and both a sextile to Saturn and Neptune. Talking about the most outer planet forming aspects to the other outer generational planets, what will that mean for this generation? I think whatever is necessary to end former aquarian plutonian pain, addictions, seductions, criminalities or overtly extreme power and possessions, needs to be abandoned, will be abandoned, and will lead to the creation of the new; the new ingenious constructs and forms in society, politics, the environment, technology which Aquarius has always been associated with and interested in. The question of Pluto in Aquarius is whether these major shifts that arise in this era will be dealt with in a constructive way but one can only hope optimistically that it will.

I would point out Mary Shelley’s mother, Mary Wollstonecraft, essentially the Mother of feminism, published her groundbreaking work Vindication of the Rights of Woman in 1792, sparking the idea of women’s rights worldwide. She was also one of the few well-traveled women of her time and was present in France during part of their revolution. Another key figure at this time, (perhaps you mention later but I’ve paused to comment) Beethoven was an up and coming famous composer. His first public concert would be in 1795, kicking off his career. He’d later be considered the greatest composer of the western world, and is still talked about as such, as he revolutionized our music completely. Exciting stuff. Phenomenal episode, lots of buzzing energy surrounding this current era. Lots of parallels with the previous setups to Pluto in Aq. time periods…

When you mentioned the events of 1083 and how the earlier Pluto/Aquarius transit affected those later events, I wanted to add that just three years outside the Pluto/Aquarius period that ended in 1063 was the Battle of Hastings in 1066, which had a massive impact on the ensuing 1,000 years of the British Empire. William the Conqueror changed the entire course of history and the British Monarchy. As with Charlemagne, I think the Pluto/Aquarius transit had a huge impact on what led to the Battle of Hastings.🤓 Thank you for doing this tremendous work!

FRANKENSTEIN’S CREATURE: I read Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein when Pluto ingressed Aquarius last year (to mark the occasion). From what I recall Frankenstein probably did use ‘grotesque’ to describe his creation, but I think his horror was because he himself had transgressed a line by making his creature. The creature viewed Frankenstein as his father and at least started life neutral in terms of our perception of goodness and badness. It was his ‘father’s’ abandonment and society’s treatment of him that shaped him into the monster he is painted to be at the end of the novel. The creature learned to read and write by secretly observing a poor family living in a wooded area, much like AI today learns on data sets of human interaction recorded on the www. The creature felt connected to this family and started to carry out small acts of service such as providing firewood. It was their horror at their first discovery of him that further alienated the creature and drove him to run. The creature and his maker later connect and the creature blackmails Frankenstein to make him a wife (someone to love and be accepted by). The constituents for wife making were gathered by Frankenstein only to be dumped at sea after he had nightmares about the proliferation of little creatures (I hope my memory serves correctly).

Then enters Capricorn for the last time from Mid-September till the week of Thanksgiving. THEN it stays in Aquarius for 20 years. At the 11:56 mark in this video everything that Richard Tarnas states about Pluto has been true in my case. Life, Death, Rebirth and Transformation. And it applied to everything in my life. I truly appreciate it Best wishes from Ireland which was helped by France to have its own revolution in 1798 led by Robert Emmet . Alas it was not successful but did truly scare the British Monarchy at the time . I recommend people look up Robert Emmet speech from the Dock before he was sentenced to be hung drawn and quartered on Thomas Street Dublin. It truly gives a detail description of what ideology was in the population of the time.

Amazing research guys! One influence of Pluto I think sometimes missed is the religious effect - so many charts I've done of religious/spiritual people have Pluto rising or on the MC (Gauquelin effect, but with Pluto). Looking back to previous Pluto/Aquarius periods we had: destruction of Second Temple and start of Jewish Diaspora (70CE), birth of modern day Christianity & Nicene Creed (325), establishment of Islam in Spain but stopped in France by Charlemagne (790-810), Great Schism of Western/Eastern churches (1054), Jews expelled from England (1290), Protestant Reformation (1530s), secular democracies (1778-1797)...and now? My prediction is the end of established religions for new higher revelation (yes, that's a really big one!) E.g. it was decided in the 1st Council of Nicea (325CE) that Jesus was god on Earth, not a man connecting to God - maybe that will be reversed 1700 years later?! Birth of whole new global religion?

Might be a stretch, but I would say that guns and paper are both very fixed air as well. Paper is really just a fixed communication if you think about it. You communicate something once and it's embedded into the paper. In the scorpio episode, someone said that fixed water could be interpreted as water moving in a fixed direction through a pipe. Similarly, guns blast an object in a fixed direction through the air. Guns are usually used for very "aquarian" reasons as well. Edit: with the developments in astrology and astronomy, the sky is also a pretty literal example of fixed air.

The Chinese invented gunpowder but used it for fireworks, it became ammunition in the West. Fireworks however could well be Aquarian. ie bringing an idea into reality but in the air, not on the ground as in Saturn ruled Capricorn.

The Council of Nicaea was dogmatic and merged many Christian beliefs with Pagan practices, basically subsuming them. At 1:19:00 the notion of the Holy Roman Empire (which, as the saying goes, was neither Holy nor Roman!) was again imposed on society and broke centuries of local tradition and hierarchy. Perhaps the first evidence of an emerging Globalist Elite! So the Pluto in Aquarius "social change" usually carries with it a large dose of top-down control, despite the Aquarian ideal of free thinking.

Why would you not be around? People can live past 100 years old nowadays and in 20 years from now I'm pretty sure we'll reach 150 or so. In 20 years things will be much much different, technology that the human mind can't even fathom will be released. As a French person, good job! This is such a rich, dense period, it's not easy to summarize effectively. And for reference THE line for the revolution is that "blood flowed in the streets like rivers" (guessing Mars was in the area too since it represents blood?)... they didn't kid around. @@janicenunn8525 oh, watercolor pencils are magic. You can draw with them like with just colored pencils, but when you take a brush and water you can turn your drawing into the water color drawing. Look it up, it's much cleaner, than watercolor and allows both sketching and painting techniques.

3:03:08 - A lot of people are teaching their pets to talk by using buttons that say out loud pre-recorded words. Some animals form full sentences, and they express their emotions (like anger, frustration, love), their needs, and they tell if they are having a discomfort or pain. One dog has anxiety and reminds her owner when she forgets to give her the anxiety meds. Another owner can make her cat take medicine by her own, communicating through the buttons. It's really impressive to see how smart, sensitive and thoughtful they all are! Most animals are cats and dogs, but I've seen cows, guinea pigs and a donkey. I wonder how amazing it would be if someone did that to a monkey or a dolphin! I can't even imagine what technology will be able to do in these cases in the next years.

Watched this video recently on my walks in Chinese city parks. I have a natal chart with strong Pluto, had lots of encounters with it when it was transiting my stellium of planets in Sagittarius and lastly Capricorn. But had no major transits until a recent trine to last degree Virgo Sun. Now with Pluto entering Aquarius it is going to conjunct with my 4 degree Aquarius Midheaven soon. I am not trying to say it will "transform" my career path (it is only an angle point and should look for transits to other planets). However I wanted to leave a comment saying this was probably the best podcast I have ever listened regarding astrology, well done research! With Aqu MC (Saturn in Scorpio 6th, Uranus in Saggitarius 7th), I strongly resonate with anything that has a "techy" color, but doing Sinology (a very traditional academic discipline dealing with China) I immediately thought about the natal chart of PRC, which later on you mentioned as well. I recalled the Aquarius Moon MC and wanted to chime in: due to "Western" propaganda, people just aren't aware of how advanced China is in respect of use of technology. Nowadays when I return to Europe I think of going back to middle ages. Ever since Covid everyone in Mainland China uses a mobile phone to do daily tasks (WeChat for all sorts of payments, work and casual communication, renting an Uber, Huawei forked open source technology and uses their own operating system,...). However, there is also Republic of China (Taiwan), where all the semiconductors used to be made. I used to also think that in order for China to catch up to the "West" in regards to semi's production, it will need to take over Taiwan. That too was a huge miscalculation, because PRC is also bridging the gap and produces their own chips that are slowly entering their market. Will there be a fight between David (Taiwan) and the Goliath (China) in this respect? I hope not. The question is maybe not who has the best chips, but who holds the most silica and rare earth minerals. In my opinion, due to the Collective West losing its technological primacy, we will hear more and more misinformation about China, because the West just cannot keep up. Ideologically, people still tend to believe that US democracy is the best thing since sliced bread and this discussion about the best political system for "the people" will probably be something we encounter in our daily lives as citizens of the world. Would like you to do a re-run of this program now that Pluto will be steadily in Aquarius, with updates, including a discussion on some of the comments below.
