Sincere thanks for posting an Aff video of the tierset in action. Long time Aff player who was partially dreading having to swap to Destro, but seeing your damage and profile, I'm confident i can pull cracked numbers with this spec. I do hope they fix the set bonus in some way by giving a compensation buff for ST damage on the tier proc, and we can always live and hope for a 2nd charge of VT

Thanks for watching! The numbers can definitely feel cracked at times but there’s still those periods where you’re just so dry. Gonna be very dependent on how your tank is pulling around your cds. And I definitely agree the spec can use a little more st love

Im very thankful for your Videos. They are very helpful and i can learn alot. In 10+ Keys im only reaching 86-91 on wacraftlogs with a 625ilvl with affli (only spec i Play) and im Feeling fruatrated because My Friends Deal so more damage xD Wish you nothing but the best!

Thanks for the video! Would you say Soul Harvester is worse than Hellcaller, or you are just testing? Because the quality of having 3 shards the time you need them feels really good and it's hard to let that go. Also, could you explain if with the new tier set our rotation changes at all? Do we spam UA when we get a jackpot proc? What's the deal?

Haven’t really tried soul harvester. This could actually be a decent dungeon for it, among some others. Would have to test more. Tier set doesn’t really change rotation it’s all passive. You could probably make an argument to shard pool for tier proc but it’s hard to plan for rng

The way I would describe all 3 specs for keys right now is not bad but not broken just solid. They all have strengths and weaknesses, could be played in some keys over the other specs. Destro probably feels the most complete all around youre just not able to do enhancement shaman damage every pull Aff has great burst and big pull aoe when your cds are up, insane funnel, but still pretty bad pure single target damage, target swapping and damage outside cds. You're also just really sad when the tier set doesn't proc and it sometimes takes a while for that to happen. Demo has pretty consistent aoe but almost nonexistent on demand burst and prio damage in aoe pulls. Single target isn't bad but it takes some time for it to ramp up so target swapping is also somewhat of an issue at times.

Yea I’m not sure how I feel about the tier set as of now sometimes it feels like it just doesn’t proc at all or procs at the worst times

UA is at the damage i feel it should be without the tier set buff :(. I saw that you also dont get any SS when the tier set UA targets die

Yea it’s really good every 2 min but would be even better if proc was on soul rot every min instead. Also the extra ua’s do give soul shards 100%

@ i agree, fun every 2 or 3min on big cds is outdated in 2025, when ou see modern gameplay like ret paladin or balance druid with cds every 30sec on every pack

aff looks great here, wich is bad becaus now they will nerf the damage :P u know the true blizard way.. what they should do is make vial taind and soul rot 20-30 seconds cd, remove the target cap, and make al our dots last 25-35 seconds so that we dont have to manualy dot so damn much. that would make aff feel soo smooth in al content, dungeon or raid, make it feel less like a chore to play compared to so many specs that are fluid, i love playing aff, but trying some destro and just feel how the entire rotation flows compared to aff wich is just plain clunkclunk :P

In my opinion affliction has the least interesting spec tree when compared to demo and destro. The gameplay is hard carried by a few specific talents, and especially an excellently done hero talent. Soul harvester is very good on affliction. But the spec tree itself has too much clutter, basically uninteresting talents and lots of 2 talent nodes. There are a few I like though, like the one that procs nighfall on your dot criticals.

I kinda agree with you in that the spec is LARGELY balanced and dependent on how much power is tied to soul rot right now. It’s good and bad for a number of reasons but I think they need to find a way to take some power out of it without completely killing our ability to do burst damage
