As much as our grounding to the story is Karasuno and Hinata. The true protagonist is the competitive spirit thats universal in all the characters, all sports and even in all of us. Thats why this series is such a marvel to behold

Kuro wasn't trying to intentionally exclude kenma, he just knew that kenma wasn't interested. Kuro tells Kenma's dad that he would take kenma with him if he seemed like he wanted to go at all ( 57:21 )

This movie is such a warm hug on the heart. It truly captures how the author loves playing volleyball, and it really shows from the manga panels and on this animation. Kenma's moment and pov is so raw full of emotions that captivates the audience, how fun volleyball is even if you're a player or not.

I don't know if my heart is made of steel or what but when I first saw that scene from anime for some reason I was laughing straight for 5minutes I found that scene so funny and little bit cringy I know it is supposed to be serious but I have tendency to laugh at serious moments I guess😂😂It was more funny than emotional you gotta agree man😂

@@rasna2212 chill down bro I was just saying this as joke ofcourse i know the importance and the emotion behind that you don't need to get so worked up on an anime.I watch shows like haikyu,blue lock for fun and not to get emotional that's why I don't really get that attached to these kind of shows I really enjoy them but not to that extent that I would cry on them😂 I do get emotional watching shows like re-zero(if you have watch yk why)and other similar anime because I am attach to the world more,while watching a sports anime i do not care about getting this emotional because I watch it for fun I mean I know the importance and emotion behind the handshake but it was not emotional enough for me to cry over it and ofcourse I do not expect them to make me cry because I am watching a sports anime and it delivers fun and exciting matches.

I had a tough day, and this video cheered me up! Are you still planning to make another video rewatching the movie? I'm sure you have a lot more to say and add on during the 2nd watch, I'm interested in all of them! Especially the Kenma POV scene in real volleyball and the animation of that part!

idk if there was a translation difference, but i do really like "let's be confident" it really shows growth within Kageyama to have confidence in his teammates abilities, which was a whole arc for him, that he doesn't have to control every aspect of the game, he can toss his team sets that will challenge them, and pull the best out of them, but also still trust them enough that allows them to decide what to do with the set. I think it it was Suga who told Kageyama when he was still learning how to trust his teammates to remember that all their spikers are strong hitters, and basically that he can be confident in that. Not only that, but Ukai's words really show that Kageyama does truly believe in Hinata as a spiker, that he can give him a high toss that allows Hinata to fight mid air and decide how to and where to spike.

This was a good movie adaptation on an animation aspect. But they cut a lot of good scenes from the manga, and that is a bit disappointing. I worry for the final movie 'cause there's a lot of ground to cover. Meaning, a huge chunk of the manga's story is gonna be cut most likely.

Love the movie so fucking much and the directorial choices are good too. I wish they could have include Nishinoya's foot save and other highlights and made the movie into 2 hours. The fans wouldn't mind. ugh.
