I think the trailer online intended us to feel that Shadow inflicts something on Tom to convey the intense impact we can expect from this film, which succeeded. However, despite what the trailer suggests, I’m not entirely convinced that anything will happen to Tom. If it turns out that Shadow does cause harm to Tom, then wow, the final showdown between Sonic and Shadow will become an incredibly personal and intense battle for both of them

You have to adjust the playback video speed to .25 but in the extra half second of video, it shows Sonic and Tails together what looks like to be trying to attack Shadow, but Shadow punches them away from him and the black hole/portal opens up. I suspect that the other scene of the black hole/portal with S, T, K being chained up with the black hole/portal opened up, is a little bit later in that scene or in the movie, since it's a similar, but slightly different background in the same clip. It I suspect these the first Black hole scene happens on Earth and the other happens on the Ark, but I could be wrong as this is just a speculative guess 😎👍

Funny enough, before Beetlejuice Beetlejuice started, one of the trailers they showed was Sonic 3. I posted it on TikTok when I got home that night. It wasn't the new footage version, but all I can say is that they cut out a few things since it's the short version.

I actually have a theory for this. Sonic and Shadow are fighting at a particle accelerator, with Shadow throwing a powerful punch at sonic. Sonic dodges, and Shadow hits the ring, which was essential with the particle accelerator. Because it absorbed too much power from his hand, the excess energy was turned into a black hole.

Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me, but it kinda looks like Shadow doing a spindash before he transforms into a blackhole.... Honestly, that actually sounds epic as heck! I could be wrong if that was not the case, but I don't know any powerful character who could do a spindash then suddenly transforms into a blackhole. The Black Hole could be Chaos Control at this point, sending Tom to the past or future since the hole seems to be coming from Shadow. I'm suspecting this since at the end of the trailer at one of his final confrontations with Shadow from the looks of it. Sonic is more of his usual self with quips like we are used to from Sonic 1 and 2. Hell it's entirely possible we see Robotnick and Gerald develop technology or discover Sonic can use a Chaos Emerald to use Chaos Control to find where Tom was sent?
