Great job! BTW, heads up: this video may get a copyright block because the record company is kind of douchey. So, you may want to repost it with the video covered. Looking forward to you doing more Korn!

Yup, a very specific time. I’ve always remembered it well. This studio album had just been released, and I starting hearing it at house parties. At somebody’s parents’ house, and on this big property with a massive sound system. Then I began hearing it on the radio. The band was blowing up then, with their career really starting to take off.

This song is on their 3rd album, but you mentioned expecting Korn to be heavier. Korn's first two albums are very heavy and gritty, and at times even very dark and emotional. You'd be surprised, their earlier albums sound quite different. I love all of their music but their first two albums are very dark and full of energy

Won MTV best music video in 99 when i was 19. Different era for sure. They are great live, went to the "Family Values Tour" in 99. I always interpret the bullet being someone on the path of their own destruction, until someone says "no more" the rewind is guilt and regret cant we just go backwards and change things. "Fallen Away From Me" is the follow up to this. But i recommend 93 debut album. Shoots and Ladders, Ball Tongue, Blind, Fag*t, Daddy, Clown is my favorite. Life is Peachy. Adidas, Mr. Rogers. No place to hide. Yeah dive into these and you will get what you were expecting.

With that said the lyrics in Daddy are fictional and A) Didn't happen to JD and B) were written by Dennis Shin (same as the song Blind). He was the drummer for JD's original band SexArt and the original version is called Follow Me. This is even proved when they had to add his name for songwriting credits when the album went Platinum - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gp20aX-raayGoaM

Daddy is the most honest and emotional song ever written, and it's loosely based on his own life, it was the first song I ever heard from them, I've played the guitar for 37 years and the guys in the band i was playing in at the time, we were all in car reduced to tears from listening to this.

Got some different song choices from Korn, "Falling Away from Me" which is a sequel to Freak on a Leash, "Daddy" which is very emotional and dark and what a lot of reactors get recommended, "Insane" which is one of my favorite modern Korn songs, kind of a blend of old and newer Korn.

Both Pretty and Kill You don't even hold the candle to Daddy, which btw, isn't even an original JD song. It was written by Dennis Shin the drummer of his previous band SexArt. Original version of the song is called Follow Me.

It's based off an actual 80's US gun safety advert, about the dangers of your children gaining access to the gun in your home. The advert was a similar video of a bullet travelling, after your kid actual accidentally fired it.

Best way film the bullet/band scene. d the time-capsule bit... looks EXACTLY like the new skate-park scene they just opened in my little burg.

@@TheDeadStretch Great point. As for the song "Blind" I prefer the Neidmeyers Mind version as it does contain some of the guitar parts similar to the original SexArt versions guitars of Dave Deroo and Ryan Shuck. Which correct me if I am wrong but did Shuck also get credited for writing as well. It been close to 30 years since I have heard anyone bring up SexArt. I doubt I still have my horribly dubbed copy of a copy of theirs. Thanks for the link and is the rest of their songs on here in case I can't find my crap copy.
