This might have been one of the top 10 to 15 live performances of all time. FTR, I am a retired professional music critic, with 45+ years experience and used to write for a small Boston, Massachusetts newspaper in the mid 1980s. I saw Whitney, Mariah, Celine, etc. in their Apex primes and Morissette is their equal. This was the performance on the WISH 107.5 Bus that convinced me that she was an elite Apex, international caliber singer. In the years since she has grown to be a top 5 to 8 Pop singer of all time.

There must be THOUSANDS of videos of Filipinos sitting down while they cover songs. It's not just the Wish Bus. Students get filmed at school doing AMAZING stuff with their voices just while they are at lunch or something, like nbd. They are literally built different. AWESOME vocal skills arise from a culture that encourages people to sing from a young age, instead of telling all the kids to 'sthu!'

„akin ka na lang“ is one of her best performances (even though you unfortunately missed to notice that her first whistle run was straight out of an already long held note and you also missed that her last chorus was a 14sec belt all in one breath…) This is only topped by „Gusto ko nang bumitaw“ (But don‘t do the Wishbus version, go for the „live version“ with band!)

This is my hot take. I have met a LOT of filipino singers and they all have crazy range and open vowels I think their language must strengthen that part of their voice. I have no real evidence of this but I have met too many for it to be a coincidence.

Oh and by the way, the 107.5 announcement is certainly less innocuous than your, 'I gotta take a break' from listening to her? Plus you did that in the middle of a 17 second long vocal on one breath.
