I swear, this is one of those songs that gets better and better every time you listen to it. There’s just so much going on in the subtext of the words and the structure of the music, and that’s not even touching on the phenomenal performances from the singers and other musicians. Easily one of my favorite Nightwish songs.

@samuelengle37733 жыл бұрын
So what is really interesting about this song is the story. The lyrics are being sung to us from the perspective of music...as if music itself took on a personification with a conscience and awareness. If you think about the lyrics about greeting the greedy croud but never singing to them... music doesn't sing...it is sung. Leave it Tuomas to create a song from this perspective.

@Charis Sellick: Now you are hearing the musical genius of Tuomas! He is Nightwish's composer -- and it is no mystery why he is called the "Metal Mozart." Everything he does is so good, so subtle at times. If you want to hear Tuomas at his finest, react to the 8-movement piece that is the "Nature" side of Human :||: Nature. If you love musical dynamics, then you'll love "Nature." However, it is merely an instrumental piece, with no actual lyrics -- instead, there is the spoken word both at the beginning and end of the piece. And, I think you need to react to Shoemaker! Here, you'll hear Floor go what I call "full opera" at the end.

Floor has a voice that carries you to all the emotions you may not realise you feel until you are in tears of joy or pain, Troys softer voice works wonderfully just under Floors voice, Marco is more powerful and very different, I love the whole album and the virtual shows were brilliant. The orchestral parts were recorded by the Pale Blue Orchestra and arranged by Pip Williams, also included are the Metro Choir.
