That wife story deserves its own video, that's amazing. You briefly mentioned her playstyle in your firebomb video, but I had no idea there was that much to it. It's awesome seeing seeing someone with an outside perspective experience a game you love, especially one that accommodates different playstyles and lines of thinking. I've been making my grandpa play Half Life Alyx, and it's cool to see him intuit things based on what the game presents him, rather than intuiting things based on experience of what other games do.

That is a downside with the concept of genres really. Many games can sometimes assume you know what to do based on games knowledge of sequels or from other games within the same genre. Granted that's what tutorials are for. But intuition being the key to success is amazing in of itself.

My first experience with Dark Souls was Dark Souls Remastered. I made a female character named Stabitha (Tabitha but with more stab) gave her a sheild and spear as soon as I figured out that worked, and after the first few bosses went over to The Tree by blighttown and booked it over to the Dragon Greatsword because I'd seen a guy go get it and use it. Apparently, taking massive chunks with each swing out of a boss' healthbar makes them a lot easier. I beat the majority of bosses ON MY FIRST ATTEMPT that first run; including Nito, Sif, 4 Kings, Demon Firesage, Priscilla and even Gwynn, lord of cinder. 2 runs later, I learned to parry and now the game is veritably easy for me. Apparently, my brain REALLY likes Dark Souls Combat. Unfortunately for me, however, this meant I was totally robbed of the experience of strughling on a boss, getting good, learning their moves and triumphing, the main high feeling most people get from Dark Souls. Luckily, Ultrakill did this for me. That game is very fun.

2 years late but it makes sense the capra femon is effected by oral decoy. It does have the odd honor of becoming a regular enemy later on. So its resistences to duch spells are likely the same as its basic enemy version

This would be interesting, but I'm not sure if I can make it work. I'd have to remove the controls for Left and Right, which is easy enough, but I don't think I can change directions if I do...which I can work with for battles but not so much for navigating the levels. I'll test it out to see if it's possible - points for thinking outside the box!

@@TheBacklogs I know what I'm about to say may be sacrilege to some, but if you use a keyboard to control the game you can turn on the Mouse option under controls, which allows you to turn and attack without the movement keys. However I'm not sure if the challenge is possible without the long-jumping glitch, as I believe there is no way to jump forward without the movement controls aside from that. Well, that is until you get the Dart brand, but I'm not sure if it's possible to get to it without jumping forward.

Hey lemon, advice for if your wife plays elden ring. I you can get firebombs to do 1600 damage easy with buff stacking. Don't use oil, it's a trap. The flame tear physick, the spell that buffs fire damage, the fire scorpion charm, high strength, jar helm, and jar talisman. Golden vow may help, I'm not sure.
