The first 45RPM record I bought was "Leaning on the Lamp Post", which I heard every morning at 8:00am on the radio as I was getting ready for school. I was obsessed with this song. I babysat for the neighbor for an hour to get 25 cents, which is what the records cost then (1964? 1965?). I made my mom drive me 28 miles to the record store so I could get it. I still have it, I still play it and I still love it! When I found out it was the same band who sang "Henry the 8th", I realized how great this band was. Everything they did, I loved. I think I have every song H. H. ever made on vinyl, on CD's and on my iPod. I met Peter at the Nebraska State Fair and had him sign an old album. That's one of my two most prized possessions. I keep it locked in my safe. Thanks, Peter for all the happiness you have spread in the world with your talent. If we both make it to Heaven I want to sing a duet with you !

I always love ❤️ the songs of Herman’s Hermits and Peter Noone, it was a dream come true for me when I saw him in person in a concert they did here in Canada. They brought back all the beautiful memories when they belted out their beautiful hit songs of the past.. seems like it was only yesterday !!!...

I met Peter a couple of years ago while he was performing at a casino show room. I was working as tech in that room at the time. He is a fantastic person. He has a vibrant and has a very upbeat personality. He has the instant connection power. Very magnetic and polite. I'm so glad I talk to interact with with him. I loved music when I was a very young kid. He had an influence on me as a musician as I got older. This guy is a class act.

Peter sounds as good today as he did when I was a kid. My aunt was crazy in love with him. The only two famous singers that I ever saw her “crazy” about was ELVIS and PETER!

Pretty good interview. He has a lot of charm and is relatively humble in spite of his accomplishments. He was huge in the sixties and early seventies but I never stopped listening to him and the band. Some really great tunes that stand up well to this very day. As well, he sounds really good still. 😊🇨🇦

Mr Noone did this interview six years ago . It is May 30th 2022 now. What he says I can relate too. I was born in 1953 and grew up listening to Herman’s Hermits, Troggs , Doors , Animals.. Turtles etc… Those were what I call the innocent years . Pay Phone booths , no internet. For Your Love ( Yardbirds) Great stuff . I would enjoy interviewing Peter Noone. I heard him say he was 16 with no driver’s license and the owner of a new Ferrari or similar vehicle. All the people he has personally met.. so interesting. Thank You Mr Noone , Stay healthy and safe .

At 2:14 he says "I interact with my....people who like me". Almost said "fans" but changed it, not missing a beat. Seems like a very modest and down to earth guy.

Maybe shopping for records and books on line is a better option now than it was shopping in stores in the 90s but I still think paper vs on line magazines are still more special... Tiger Beat mag with Peter on the cover was so cool...

The first and only rock concert I went to was Herman's Hermits. I was about 14 and sitting about half a mile away so I could only see glittery little ants. I can't tell you what they played because after the first 30 seconds I was deaf for two days! Sure doesn't sound like it but it was such a high at that age! Now I can't believe I went through such physical and mental torture for what I considered a great high. I also have to mention that I admired my best friend's mother for taking us and being chaperone. She must have hated it!! But I still love the songs even though several are actually old English Music Hall tunes updated like Henry VIII.

My very first concert was also Peter with Herman's Hermits back in 1964... I was age 12 and my mom also took me, along with several other of my young girlfriends ... I always thought she was very brave to tolerate all us screaming preteens at that show and I loved her for doing it !! ... Peter was only 16 then, and so very cute and charismatic 💜 ... finally saw him live again 50 years later in 2014 and he hadn't changed a bit !! ... still cute, talented and such a charmer !! 💜💜 I go see him every chance I get !!

Bandog Betty I’m a fellow Tampa fan! Gone to see him at Epcot each year since 2016, and last year I got to sit front row and take a photo with Peter as he was leaving the stage. He still kills it!

@Bandog Betty ... Herman's Hermits was my very 1st concert too, at the young age of 12 in 1964 ... finally saw Peter again 50 years later in 2014 ... and been going every chance I get since then ... I was smitten with him the 1st time as a preteen, and still am at age 68 now... Peter is still as cute as he ever was, full of talent and personality, and quite the entertainer !! 💜💜🎶🎶💜💜

I think this was a very interesting interview--but I'd like to know why Peter Noone didn't go beyond "bubble-gum" rock and do something that was a little more interesting than what he came up with in "Herman's Hermits." *This is a real question. So, if you can fill me in on what he has done that's been "deeper," I'd appreciate it.*
