A review the new Yonex Arcsaber 11 Pro Badminton Racket, launched on 25th February 2022.
Will the improvements find favour with existing users and also generate a new audience for this superb racket? Do the improvements make a difference and is this still in keeping with the original Arcsaber?

I just got the 3UG5, IT IS A BLAST TO PLAY WITH. For perspective, I have been playing head heavy racquets, very very similar racquet ‘portfolio’ to Paul, and GOD it is very very easy to deliver my smashes. However though, it takes time to get used to the lack of head weight for jabbing and backhands cause it is very difficult to gauge the head weight Anyways, hoping to see more reviews from you Paul. Kind regards

Hey Paul! I wonder if there are some tips for finding the Racket that Suits the best(given that you clearly cannot expect to try out every racquet). I have been using the NANO speed DX90 for years now. I feel probably I am more a rear court favored player given that in general I rely on my brutal force to get advantages(i.e. hit towards the oppoents backhand rear court or jump smash some forehanded serving), do you think NANO speed DX90 still suits my need or is it that >$150 racket plays
@TheBadmintonCoach
@TheBadmintonCoach 2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question. How you feel a racket and interpret that is unique to you. Your existing racket is a benchmark so consider what you like and/or dislike. Which areas do you want improvement. Note the specifications and then test a few rackets with the same specs and see if there’s a marked improvement that suggests one racket is better than yours. Of course you can also test string tension and string type too

Would you recommend a 4U version? I’m looking to have an alternate racket for my Astrox 88S 4U. I’m mainly a doubles club player. Thanks
@TheBadmintonCoach
@TheBadmintonCoach 2 жыл бұрын
As you know, the difference in racket weights is based on the overall weight of the racket. A 4U will not have a lighter head weight as they use the same mould for the racket. There is 1-9 g between 3U and 4U. I doubt anyone will feel a 1g difference. Personally, with even balance and head light rackets, I do not understand the need for both weights. There again, that’s based on my personal preference

I’m slightly concerned with the stiffness of the new version. I’ve seen comments that the arc11 pro seems stiffer than the original arc11, even comparable to the 88d pro or 100zz. How did you find its stiffness during testing?
@TheBadmintonCoach
@TheBadmintonCoach 2 жыл бұрын
Thankfully I had an original 11 for stringing this weekend. The shaft on the pro is thinner but I do not consider it to be stiffer. The frame is more aerodynamic and there’s a feeling of strength in the pro.

@@temansehobi the 88D pro in 4U is probably one of the best if not the best 4U racket. You generate very good power and very forgiving. Because it's 4U it's still nice and fast and easy to switch between attack and defence. If you use 3U rackets then the Arc 11 pro is a very good choice. It's even balance weight makes it easier to attack and defend with a good swing speed while there's also good bit of power. You can certainly get some big smashes out of this. And this is a control racket so you get very good control and precision especially because the strings holds the shuttle longer. In conclusion based on my own reviews, experience and testing and other reviews if you use 4U weight category rackets then the 88D pro is the better choice and if you use 3U then the Arc 11 pro is probably the better choice.
