To all the negative comments here. Yes you have right to opinion, but I have one, it works magic. NO BACTERIA, NO ELECTRICITY AND YES HEAT STAYS INSIDE. we live with this electricity problem everyday. And this wonderbag has saved us alot of money and surprised loadshedding problem. Little bit of advise. Don't break something down before u sure of the facts u stating.

Sarah Collins has never claimed that she invented heat retention cooking. And yes the wonderbox has been around for years. She just thought of a new way to use the principle of heat retention that's all.

What about the fact it doesn't keep food to the correct temp, therefore breading bacteria. I really was up for buying this product but am a little concerned & very much so for the women of Africa cooking rice as rice can be a killer

Sharon Evans My grandpa uses one all the time and so do I, it's really useful because we still get occasional rolling blackouts. Even after 10 hours or so, the food is still steaming hot. I think if you get your food up to the boil and keep it there for at least 15 minutes and then put it into the bag you won't have any issues. Wonderbags are widely used here, we see them all the time at farmer's markets, etc. used to keep soups, potjies and curries hot all day (there's no access to electricity at events like that) and have never heard of anyone having any problems from the food.

I touched a pot inside a wonder bag on Saturday (about 11am) - the guy was cooking his lunch - it had been in there since 5am and the pot was still boiling hot. It was at the markets - Mitchell Park in town. Yes, trust me, it was hot! I doubt there would be any problems with temperature. I just bought some material today and I'm making one now. I can't wait to finish it :) x

Saron Evans - (1year later) You have the right idea but your not understanding how it works. Like cooking rice. When its in the ricer cooker its cooking but when you unplug or take it away from its cooking source. It start to cool down. Eat and then refrigerate. Same concept goes for the wonderbag. So.. you can eat lunch and dinner (6-12 hours later). The food will still be warm to enjoy. No I don't work for wonderbag. Kinda wish I could afford the get one. Until then.. ill be using towels.

I boiled rice for a few minutes and cooked it in my wonderbag for 1 hour. 165 degrees Fahrenheit when I checked it, well above the danger zone. Cooked chili for 2 hours. Still 160 F. after 2 hours.
