Grow out and Koi Selection Part 3

Join me in todays video as we go through part three of setting up the grow out pond, and place the fish on their certifcates.
There is still 12 places available, and these are at £145 for the following:

6 varieties fish to choose from:
1)Gin Rin or Non Gin Rin Chagoi
2)Gin Rin Ochiba or Non Gin Rin Ochiba
3) Saragoi or Gin Rin Saragoi
The fish entered into the challenge will start between 22 and 24cm. They will be grown on in a 3,500 gallon koi pond, on heat with auto feeders set. The minimum guaranteed growth will be 35cm.
You will receive the blow for £145:
1) Koi of your choice
2) Koi Academy T Shirt
3) Koi Academy Mug
4) 5KG bag of Yoshikigoi Pro food.
5) Yoshikigoi Certificate
6) Koi Academy T Shirt
Once the fish hits 35cm, you will be given the option for me to push this as big as i can up until the end of April 2024, for an additional fee of £50. This additional fee is simply to cover the additional food costs over winter.
We will only be offering exclusive access to the Koi Academy during this grow out to people who are part of the Koi Grow out Challenge 2023.

Why do you give the ponds such a deep clean in between batches of fish?

But then your killing the ecosystem every time. Unless you’re trying to kill off a bacteria problem it’s completely unnecessary. If you feel those fish are safe to be going into other people’s ponds you should be happy for the next batch to go into that pond.

I get what your saying, and maybe we will try it on one of these next time. It’s what our bio security measures are in place for, new imports get treated as fresh systems

@@TheBaldingReefer if your happy for the fish that have come out of that pond to be sold on then you should be happy for the next batch to go in. If you have any fear that there is an issue with a batch of fish then those fish shouldn’t be leaving that pond. I appreciate your probably trying to give novice hobbyists confidence that your doing all you can to prevent any bacterial/parasitical issues spreading between batches of fish but to koi keepers that have been in the game a long time it tells them that you were not confident that that batch of fish that came out weren’t 100%.
