An excellent addition to the multimeter is an output plug for the guitar with 2 exposed leads so you can measure the resistance of the pickups in the guitar without taking taking them out.👍👍🤘✌️

​@@thebaldshredder2 leads with alligator clips on them and you can check the resistance without even installing them. Or you could fashion your own double lead for the 1/4 plug. Pretty simple to do and would only cost you a couple bucks, either way.

You don't have to remove anything anyway. You can order multimeter leads with alligator clips on the end for virtually nothing - a couple bucks for a few pairs. Took me 1 minute to grab an old 1/4 jack in my parts bin (or grab a honkin' metal end off an old useless cable you have in your closet) and clip the leads to it BAM instant pup readings in the guitar. Next step if i EVER need to read the pups again? Rip the alligators off and solder the leads to the jack for a dedicated multimeter-to guitar pup tester. 👀

You should be able to check the tracking for your order in the app. What does it say? It's usually pretty precise. I've had stuff take at least two weeks before it started moving. Also, consider it's the holidays so orders and shipments are more than usual and may take longer. I would also try to message their customer service to see what's up.

The description you give of the neck with the low profile and satin finish sounds a lot like the wizard speed neck or whatever it is called that I got on my Ibanez. I love the feel compared to my E series Fender with the high gloss finish.

I almost didn't believe you till I heard you play, being able to play and play good tells me you know how the mechanics of a guitar should be, I was doubting anything from temu being of very much quality at all but I do know one thing as a fairly decent guitar player myself if a guitar isn't up to a certain standard you can't really play it to Easley and make it play and sound good, I found this out when I bought a glarry which I had to modify quite a bit and I still don't think it plays as well as that temu strat style guitar you just reviewed, I'll watch your videos from now on because of this.

DC resistance does not measure output of a pickup especially if they are using cheap thin wire to wind the pickups with.

Hey Richard have you bought any guitar strings from them yet? I bought several packs of supposedly Ernie Ball strings , regular and cobalt ones and the packaging is very suspicious looking , it says Ernie Ball on the front but the back of the package doesn't match the legit ones. I haven't tried them yet so I don't know if they're the real thing?🤔

You got them from Temu? Dude, too bad you didn't ask me first. I could've warned you. Those Ernie Ball strings on Temu or AliExpress are fake. They are cheap, made in China strings. Strings are one of the only things where I feel like I have to use the real deal. I'd advise buying them from Guitar Center, Sweetwater, etc. I've even heard of sellers on Amazon selling fake EB strings.

to make working with the multi meter a bit easyer, they also sell a wire/clip (instead of the probe) that has male banana plugs on one end for the meter side, and the biz end it has alligator clips . this test lead is dual , one red one black , so you plug the banana plug into the multi meter and you CLIP the alligator to the pick-up ends to get a reading of ohms . these insulated mini alligator clip leads are a deal as i paid 2 dollars for a set of five of them, they just make life easier when testing components like capacitors resistors , pick ups etc . of course one can just as soon use the multi meter probes and press them on the ends. clipping is better than probing for me. more recently i purchased a ten pack of MOGE brand 9 ga electric guitar strings . i have tried a good number of these types of affordable strings and the MOGE 09 ga strings are the ones i will be purchasing. i got my ten pack for 17 dollars shipped . 2$ a set !! Now the packaging is nothing to celebrate but the actual strings themselves are very good - very close to diaddario quality . i won a 50 dollar (online auction) affinity squire refinish project guitar . it was a black strat with white pick-gaurd . i reshot it in canary yellow-including the headstock and did a graphtec nut . i got a 3 ply off white p-gaurd - no holes and drilled it to match, that made such a difference , so much more classy. i did black pick up covers black switch tip and trem tip, as well as black strap locks with a fender tweed strap-all about looks on this one. i found a brass trem block that fit the squire plate/ thinner body and also i did brass saddles and knobs with a tacky gold (black tip) chopped down trem arm .i am not a gold hardware guy , but the gold trem arm was key on this one. Now i could NEVER have afforded to buy all the parts from guitar center or really anywhere else. the tuners i waffled on those and ended up getting guyaker vintage style strat tuners- those are THE ones imo . the first set is the slightly less expensive non vintage lockin tuner - the didnt look right on the strat and unlocking them hurt the finger tips . they dont machine them that well anymore or perhaps it is lower quality materials , just like the import schaller strap locks- they fall apart now - mine came apart last night ... have fun
