The worth of the fish is in the grade of the meat, they are lucky they didn’t get busted for selling the fish cos they’re not commercial fisherman maybe that’s why they got a lower price.

more like mullet price for it yellowfin is arguably a lot better meat and still sells for a shit load. these kids didn’t even get 4$ a lb. they are dumb kids tho. they could of waited a week till word got out and sold that fish for a 1/4 million but they saw blunt money and took the change. i personally would of paid more for the meat myself just to store at the house

@@Rsossy i longlined tuna for years out of Hono, yellow fin was always second to big eye and prices reflected that. Of course occasionally market will fetch you a premium but for the most part yellow fin was $2-3 lb.

A bluefin tuna that size in Japan would bring 20 to 30k. The market that lowballed the kids know better. They took advantage of the kids. Thats just wrong. If they have any comon decency they would pay at least 1/2 the fishes value to these kids and not some lowball figure like 2k. If that's a prime fish with the correct fat content it will be on someone's Susi plate next week.

Awesome fish. Too bad they did not immediately bleed the fish and were unable to bring the fish onto the boat so they could properly chill the beast in a very large insulated fish bag with several hundred pounds of ice.. Next time they will be better prepared. I am sure this will not be their last BFT.

Little respect for wildlife. No respect for life. Children killing wildlife should get no support especially from the media. It isn’t enough that everything in the wild is disappearing ; parents teach their kids that wildlife doesn’t matter, and that it’s better to kill it than leave it alone. Why? Senseless.
