I just received my Solo Grill a few minutes ago and I immediately had questions about how I could use it. I put a search in Google and this video came up and answered all of my questions. I am in the market for a smoker and will be watching more of your videos to help me make up my mind. I want to thank you for your in depth reviews and opinions.

Picked up this grill from Home Goods on clearance for $130 bucks. So far, so good.

SAME!! They had a couple on the floor stacked and I had my eye on them for a while knowing they would drop in price

We got our Solo Stove Grill for about ~$120 (I guess they discontinued them?) last fall and have used it as a fire pit, and it works well. Planning on using it as a grill this summer, so for $120 after tax, it seems like a good purchase.

I liked your video but I wish you would have told us if we need the lid on to grill to grill a steak or off?

Great content as always! This is the first I’ve heard of the solo stove grill. Had no idea they existed! Looks like it will get the grilling job done for sure! In terms of new bbq equipment, just added the Little Griddle to the arsenal! It’s a stainless steel griddle plate shaped like a half-moon that works great for fried rice, breakfast, and smash burgers on the BGE!!!

Great vid. Nice review. You can pretty much make the Weber perform the same way by opening the vents and do so much more for less. Not sure the head turn is worth the price.

Is 200 a good price for this grill and I may use it for a small fire pit since I have a tiny area?

I'm glad your review specified what this grill can do. It helped me narrow down the selection from solo's line. I'd really like to see the the review of their newer cooking cast iron hub system. I've been considering that and it seems like a better fit for my uses doubling as part of a fire pit. Your video quality has also come a long way from your start. Keep up whatever you have done for the audio!

Thanks Anteater23! Very kind words and much appreciated. We don't have the Meater Plus on our agenda, but I'll see what I can work out in the coming weeks. Thanks for the suggestion!

I just got my solo grill. That’s my newest piece ;) I look forward to moving back into the world of charcoal as opposed to my smoker or a propane grill. Thanks for the review.

Nice! I really hope you enjoy it as much as we have. Charcoal just amps up the flavor, and we're hooked.

Subscribed because you give unbiased honest reviews. I like the fact that you touch on both, pros and cons. The solo fire pit review I watched before this review got me hooked. Very clear and easy to understand. This grill looks very nice and it would work for me because I’m not interested in smoking. I like that it’s portable as well. My next grilling tool I’m looking to get is a thermometer. Your outdoor kitchen looks freaking awesome! I prefer cooking outdoors over indoors. Love being out in nature.

I'm right with you. Cooking outdoors in nature is my favorite way, especially if there are friends and family around to be a part of it.

They need to bring a second iteration of the grill. The fire pit grill accessories seems like they addressed the masses. The grill was designed for a specific purpose.

I suppose the answer is technically yes, but it’s really designed to be a grill and not a fire pit.

So, will a $140 Weber grill do the same thing as a $600 Solo grill?

If their is a Sierra near you you can pick this up for $150 now. Way more solid than a Weber.
